Good value in quiet location a short stroll from the action
There are three separate accommodations here: the hotel and suites (next door and sharing a pool) and the apartments (across road with their own pool and bar). We had a 1 bed apartment for two of us. Rooms are quite big but basically furnished. Huge long balconies with patio doors from lounge and bedroom. Adequate kitchen with fridge, microwave and hob. Needed some updating but otherwise fine. Three possible views from the apartments... Two sides overlook side roads and one side looks onto the pool area. Some noise from bin emptying at dark o'clock and cats meowing so would recommend ear plugs for the light sleepers! Great local bodega/ restaurant just down the street... Would recommend for tapas and mingling with the locals. Main drag ten mins walk so well located. Supermarket 5 mins. Easy to park car on either of the side roads. Barman (Jose) was great and we enjoyed practicing our Spanish with him. In fact all the staff and other guests were very friendly and welcoming.

Thoroughly enjoyable experience
The service & freindliness at this small familiy run hotel was first class. The accomadation was adequet & clean, the public areas were comfortable & well furnished with some interesting art pieces. The small restraunt was run very efficiently, the buffet style food was varied & plentiful. The small pool & sun lounging area was adequet for the number of rooms/potential guests & benifits from the sun from mid morning to early evening. The hotel is situated in a quiet area less than 5 minuits walk from the center of the resort & 15 minuits walk from any of the 3 lovley beaches. The resort has a plentyful variety of shops, restraunts, bars & a lively saturday market. The paved costal walks round the resort offer some quite spectacular views. The resort predomimatly caters for mainland Europe tourists but comunication was not an issue as most local people spoke some English & many of our fellow holidaymakers made an effort to converse with us in English.

rooms not that good
says the room sleeps 2-4 luckly we had 2 small children to sleep on the sofa , would of needed some were to wash clothes, a fan in the bed room would help, air con in the poki bathroom, something to play music on, just a tv was no good dvd or vhs would of helped wit the kids at night. no kettle!!!!! had to boil water in a sauce pan which was nott washed from who ever stayed b4 , a mop and bucket to clean up . ON THE PLUS SIDE THE STAFF WERE VERY VERY FRENDLY AND THE BAR MAN RON WAS A DELIGHT TO MEAT.

Relaxed and friendly hotel
We booked to stay at the Flacalco at short notice and arrived to find a small and friendly hotel conveniently located in the heart of Cala Ratjada. The busy centre is only 5 minutes away from the hotel but the hotel itself is set in a quiet part of town. The resort has two good beaches and an attractive harbour. The Flacalco Park itself is clean with all the essential ammenties and the friendly staff will go out of their way to be helpful. The apartments are fairly basic but spacious. Ours comprised of a lounge with 2 sofas/ single beds with a small ktchette off to one side. in addition we had a separate bedroom with a double bed and full bathroom. There was a small balcony with doors from both the lounge and the bedroom.The small pool has plenty of sunbeds and is set among the grounds with lemon and orange trees and shaded by 2 large conifers. We had booked half board and the restaurant was located in the Flacalco Siuites on the other side of the small side road. The restaurant was good as was the food which though simple was of good quality. The hotel and the resort as a whole, is primarily aimed at the German tourist though the hotel staff go out of their way to make English guests feel at home. We would not hesitate to go back again and would recommend the hotel and the resort to anyone looking to relax and unwind.Ian and Jane: Leicester

What a great holiday
The HotelIs first class - meals were more than adequete.Our room was clean, comfortable and the bathroom immaculate.But the resort itself : -A splendid harbour -Superb atmospheric nightlife centered around the town square and coastal path -4 magnificant beaches.......... Son Moll, Cala Gat and the larger and very impressive Cala Agulla/Guya and Cala Mesquida -the Saturday market -the nearbye pine forests and walking and cycling routes -the regular bus service to Cala Millor, Sa Coma, Can Picafort and Palma. - History on your doorstep.... Arta-castle, old town and churches, the Coves de Drac + Porto Cristo, and Capdepera-with its large moorish castle.................... also Coves de Arta - BLUE SKIES, SUNSHINE, GOLDEN BEACHES, pictureque towns and villages and the intoxicating slow pace of life only found in Spain............ -a long and winding coastal path of over 10 miles from Cala Gat to Cala Sa Font.......... bliss.............. - what else??????...... a vast array of restaurants, bars, shops and nightclubs, English food and fast food, boat and fishing trips, aqua parks, etc.. etc.WHATS NOT INCLUDED....... roudy towns full of trouble makers and yobs English lager louts naff/corny purpose built resorts and hotels loud drunk people trying to draw attention to themselves lots of unhygenic cafes serving chips with anything you might find lying in the gutter............
