Conveniently located
This hotel has a excellent location, you can visit universal studios and city walk in a few minutes also you can get walked there. Is a little bit expesive and the internet conexion is charged by dispositive no good.Also you can visit chinese teater and walk of fame in 10 minutes by car.

Convenient location
Hilton Universal City has a very convenient location. 10 minutes walk from Universal Studios. Self parking was 20$ a day during the week and 24$ during week-end. Parking was a little far away from the rooms elevator (had to cross the lobby). On mother's day parking was full.We had breakfast at the cafe sierra 3 mornings (a la carte). Buffet was about 20$. If was expensive but good. Service was excellent. Mother's day brunch was too expensive (about 50$).Rooms were clean but need a face lift. Internet was 8$ by 24 hours by device....don't understand why it's not included...Overall that's a good choice for universal studios and that's close to Hollywood Boulevard Walk of fame

It's nice to be recognized.
We have stayed at this hotel a few times before with several months beteween visits. Still, we were recognized by staff and that did make us feel welcome. An unusual occurance this time was that my wife forgot to confirm our reservation and so we went in without one. The desk manager was very gracious and though the hotel was booked, was able to provide us with our usual "Executive alcove corner room" and we checked in without a hitch. I would like to point our some of the staff. First of all Tim, the doorman always recognizes us and asks about our daughter who we go down to visit. He makes us feel like the hotel is our home away from home. I also what to give cudos to Amy in the Cafe Sierra for her excellent buffet service and Josh at the concierge desk took very good care of us in obtaining our boarding passes for our return flight. Excelent stay overall.

Nice surprise.
From the reviews I read before booking, I didn't have very high expectations. We booked a king alcove room for three nights and thought it was brilliant. I thought it was a bit expensive, but the room had a bed, a couch, desk and a decent size tv - and the bathroom was HUGE. The room was spotless as well. Had a lovely view of universal and towards the hills and valley. As well as being literally across the road from Universal and the city walk, there was a train stop at the bottom of the hill. - maybe a 5 minute walk.I didn't find the staff at reception particularly helpful or friendly, however the bar staff out at the pool were both. What's more, the staff are honest! I left my iPhone 5 on the bed and when my husband called from the airport, I had written it off as gone forever, but security advised they had found it and arranged to get it shipped to our next hotel in Scotland. There were plenty of food options at the city walk and I recommend the brewery for a meal.

Best possible position for Universal Studios visit
Stayed here for 2 nights on a layovers to NYC and to visit Universal with my son. Rooms were large and very well appointed. The location is so good to just walk over the footbridge to the Universal City entertainment area and of course Universal Studios. Was really disappointed not to be able to get a check in time any earlier even after 24 hours of travelling. The hotel was super busy though and this is standard practice in US with rooms. Still hard to keep a 10 yer old up for 2 days without rest.Staff were good and wifi excellent.
