Amazing place
Great location, on arrival you realise this hotel is something special.Staff are super friendly, and the whole place is very laid back.We had a king studio room, which had everything we needed, and then some more - a large fridge/freezer, fully equipped kitchen, large bathroom (shower only) and a massive bed.Room had air con, and the entire hotel features free fast wifi. As another nice touch there are four free computers in the lobby with a printer - very useful for printing e-tickets, boarding passes etc. Breakfast was buffet style, with good hot and cold options - previous reviews have mentioned it being busy - it's open to 9.30am weekdays - one day we went in at 9.20, and it was busy... every other day we had a table and no issues.Each evening there is a free drink/nibbles session - unlimited beer and wine, with crisps and wings etc - a very nice touch.The hotel has a roof top terrace on the 40th floor with great views, a well equipped gym open 24hrs, free laundry, and never ending free tea/coffee/cold drinks in the lobby.Hard to find any fault in this hotel - would recommend highly and stay again in a heartbeat!

Fantastic experience with excellent service
I stayed in Element New York Times Square for a night in January 2013, and I am astounded by the high level of service standard provided by the hotel.Location was great, a simple 5-10 minutes walk to Times Square. We were given a free upgrade to a disabled room(we are 2 healthy young people though!!) as the lady at the front counter told us that it is free. The room was spacious and even had a small kitchen furnished with pots and pans for simple cooking!! Only bad thing that we encountered was that the water from the shower flowed right to the living room and caused all our bags to be wet! My laptop was inside as well and it was slightly damaged by the water. Sent it for servicing when I got back in my country. As we were only staying for a night, we did not request for a change of room, though we did inform the counter lady when we checked out.Overall, it was an amazing stay and I'll definitely stay at this hotel again. Kudos to all the staff there for making our stay wonderful! :)

very efficient, good location
very good hotel, overall.you may feel a bit like in a train station.we have booked a king studio room becouse of the size (35m2). a regular room is the same!in fact it is a lot amaller. big unused space in the hallway and the "so called" kitchen.the AC is just 20cm from the bed.nice coffee corner at all time is nice, together with afternoon happy hour is a refreshing experience.very good service and well located makes the element a good choise.

Great location, great service!
I had an awesome stay at the element hotel for 5nights. The staff were friendly and helpful and provided us with all help as we were new to New York. The location was great as it was walking distance from places such as Macy's, Empire State Building and Times Square. I would recommend this hotel to any first time visitors to New York as well! Have a great trip! :) I would definitely choose to stay there again.

AWESOME HOTEL! End of story.
Very well located - 5 minute walk from Time Square - It is ideal if you want to move around the hectic areas of NYC, however, the inside of the hotel truly makes you feel relaxed. Very nice rooms, beautiful views towards uptown.Ian(?) from Service Express recommended IL MERCATO, italian place right across the street - Great recommendation, try the gnoccis and the fettucini. The ladies at the front desk where awesome and January in reservations went out of her way to assist us. Breakfast was very enjoyable and so was the afternoon cocktail. Loved the place.
