arrived at the hotel they said they had no more rooms (send me an email before evidently looked ugly!) said they had a room in the maintenance, we asked to see it but they would notThe staff did not seem particularly friendly. we have not even paid the taxy. horrible.

Cool hotel in a cool neighborhood
I stayed at the Hotel Metropolis last month after a friend recommended it and was very pleased. The hotel was really cool and modern¿¿¿it was simple, but it had everything we needed and the free Wifi was a huge plus. We were right in the middle of a very cool neighborhood full of restaurants and stores. It was a great area to explore and go for evening strolls in. We loved its proximity to St. Peter¿¿¿s and Castel Sant¿¿¿Angelo, and even though it¿¿¿s on the other side of the Tiber, the hotel is still close to Piazza del Popolo, Villa Borghese, and the Spanish Steps. Plus then the metro was just a few feet away, so it was easy to get around the rest of the city too. Great hotel, great staff, great neighborhood¿¿¿all we needed for a great stay in Rome!

Absolutely fabulous
This hotel was above and beyond my wildest expectations. It has everything. There were 4 of us (family) in a suite and it was superb. We had a spa in our suite which I used after one particular day when we walked Rome. There was a row of lights above our bed which my son referred to as Disco lights which were amazing. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough. We had an absolute ball. The dining area was incredible. Breakfasts were of a very high standard. If you go to Rome stay here. Its amazing especially the suite.

Avoid top floor rooms
One block from Lepantro metro station, it is slightly out of the hustle and bustle of room in a more quiet street, about 20minutes walk from the Spanish Steps. Rooms are clean and the staff friendly. I had a room on the top floor and it only had skylight windows, which if I was spending significant amounts of time in the room would have been a problem, but as somewhere to sleep it was fine. Only problem was getting the remote control to work so that I could get the blinds shut! Buffet breakfast included which is pretty extensive and very nice.

It's a hostel in disguise!
The rooms are very small but everything is new. There was no window in our room only a sky light and no air conditioning. The room felt like a sauna and the sky light would close automatically whenever it rained (every day) my husband had leaves falling on him the entire night while he was sleeping. The manager working was very condescending she tried to make me believe that all rooms in Rome did not have air conditioning during this time of year (a flat out lie). She told me that all I had to do to have the room cool was to leave the heater off (another lie), then she tried to tell me that if we had leaves and bugs falling on us housekeeping would be more than happy to clean it (seriously?!). This is when I sarcastically asked her if housekeeping was willing to come in every five minutes during the night to clean the leaves off of my husband. We complained several times about this and kept getting the same answer "so sorry but we are totally booked and we cannot turn the air conditioning on" it was not until I got angry told them that this was unacceptable for what I was paying and that if I knew I would be having bugs and leaves falling on me at night as well as no sleep because of how hot it was I would have saved my money on stayed at a hostel and said that if they could not change my room that I expected compensation in some other way that they changed our room (all of a sudden within 20 minutes we had a new room).The breakfast is ok the restaurant only has one waiter who takes care of both the restaurant and the bar. The rooms are small and the elevator can fit 4 people maximum at a time. The only plus to this hotel was the free wifi which is pretty fast but you have to annoyingly sign into it again and again. It is close to a metro station and the Vatican but definitely not in the city center. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
