Room were disappointing-carpets stained and dirty, bed kind of stiff, AC unit noisy and mini fridge did not work but was rattling (had to unplug it)!Since they were full- unable to check in at 3pm- they still struggled to find a room for us at 4:30pm.Plumbing is noisy- you hear every flush!Free continental breakfast- if you're not there at 7 am, you'll get practically nothing unless you keep asking. They start to set up for a brunch early so stuff if not brought out.I'd skip this unless you have nowhere else to go- there is a Hampton inn across the street- they're much better!

The staff was nice at the front desk. But we were frustrated with our TV that only had four channels that were clear. We asked the front desk to take care of it while we went to a wedding when we came back nothing was done. We called the front desk and mentioned theTV again, yet again nothing was done. We also did not enjoy the running toilet all night long. For the price we paid I would have preferred to stay else where.

I had booked this hotel through Priceline.com. As I checked into the room my boyfriend and I saw it was not what we had paid for when we booked through Priceline's website. The girl at the front desk named Deborah was so ridiculously sweet and attentive. The hotel was booked solid and she tried everything she could to make up for Priceline's screw up. She even called the hotel across the way to accommodate us. Deborah, my boyfriend, and I spent a total of 2 hours in the lobby speaking with Priceline. The manager on, Eileen, was informed about the situation and was also incredibly accommodating. Eileen, who had nothing to do with Priceline's mess up, took action and went above and beyond for us. Being that I booked through a third party (Priceline) they could have very easily said "Not our problem, sorry. Next time book through the hotel," but they didn't. We were treated so nicely. Eileen and Deborah went above and beyond anything I would have expected. The Ramada is a nice hotel but the staff is what makes it special. The ramada is extremely lucky to have such wonderful employees.

Anyone that rated this hotel with more than a 2 must have stayed at a different hotel and made a mistake by rating this one..This was BY FAR the worst hotel that I ever stayed at on Long Island.To start, I bid on the room on Priceline based on location, I wanted something close to the MacArthur Airport. I wanted something decent so I bid on a 3.5 star.. (This shouldn¿¿¿t be anything more than a 2 star if you can really stretch your imagination)Like Pam J posted, it is in need of MAJOR work and repairs. The carpets are stained and nasty, the security (Keycard doors) do NOT work, so we were locked out three times in two days and had to walk around to the main lobby in the pouring rain. They were working on much needed upgrading to the rooms next to ours, so you could hear saws, hammers, etc.. Ladders, saws, tools, paint buckets, etc was in the hallways blocking the walkways. There is no ice machine on the main floor, they say they are on floors 2 & 3, but what they dont tell you is the only one that works is on the 3rd floor, so you have a hefty hike when your near a side entrance on the 1st floor just to get ice.There is a LOT of garbage on the grounds outside, cigarette butts all over the ground.Needless to say, I am a true believer of the Phrase: "You get what you pay for"I will never, ever ever bid on a room again in this area again. I have always stayed at the Holiday Inn next to the Airport, or the Residence Inn in Hauppauge (both are also rated a 3.5 star and MUCH better than this place)After being stuck in this room for the two days that I bid on, I moved to the Residence Inn were we experience ZERO problems, it was super clean, staff was great, microwave full size kitchen, breakfast and evening complimentary snacks, unlimited free coffee and tea.It was like traveling from a dirty horse stable to Disney World between these two hotels which have the same star rating. Whoever handles the ratings needs to get new glasses because this Ramada Plaza is FAR FAR FAR FAR from a 3.5 star hotel.
