good enough
I needed a business hotel that avoided downtown traffic and gave me good access to the Marytouea road to the south. The Barcelo in that sense was well located. However there is literally nothing in the locality so if you have visions of popping out for a nice meal then think again - and pay the extra money for Zamalek. It's a perfectly good, reasonbly priced hotel in a city that is really suffering right now from a lack of tourism. Many hotels in Giza are as good as empty, which is incredibly sad. The staff at the Barcelo tried their best and in many respects were great, but there were one or two moments that made me grind my teeth.The internet signal seems to have got worse, which is an absolute pain for business travellers. Please sort that out, it couldn't be more important.The food is fine, nothing special.The best thing about it right now is the price, which is frankly very good for what you get. You can pay double this price in Cairo and get a worse hotel, that's for sure.

So poor compared with price
We came to check in and had to wait for the room nearly two hours.Which we had to go and ask for the room as no staff came to tell as what was happening or how much longer we had to wait. Even we were siting at the seats nearest to the counter.We got the rooms it was very small and VERY NOISY ! It was sleepless as you know how noisy the Egypt roads are with all the beeping and stuff.It was so poor compared with the price as i think it was quite expensive. The Breakfast was good thought and also the swimming pool.But I wouldn't come back here as there are some more nice hotels with the same price range for you too choose.

A very good hotel!
I've travel a lot around Europe, North America, the Caribbean and the Middle East. The hotel is nice and close to the Pyramids, Saqqara and Memphis (which is such a disappointing area). The breakfast is actually quite good. The cabanas by the pool... Just great. The only minus is the neighborhood. It's a poor area but it was not dangerous at all. We walked all over it and had no problem. I will certainly stay there again.

5 night stay in Cairo
Hotel near Cairo centre and not far from the Giza Pyramids which can be seen in the distance from the hotel roof balcony. Room was comfy and well appointed but air-conditioning system was a little sketchy. The optional breakfast was wonderful, all kinds of exotic foods plus conventional western foods. Two hotel restaurants served quality meals at reasonable prices. Staff were most accommodating and spoke passable English.

Good Choice! I love it love it love it!
Check in was prompt. I am sooo loving the cosy room. We got a room on the 10th floor.The room looked new and in perfect condition.The pool is lovely with cute cabanas and shisha area,The breakfast serve decent amount of varieties.Good service and security from the front desk.All good
