Good, solid hotel with nice staff
My wife and I stayed there recently as I was accompanying her on a business trip. We liked the hotel. Largish, comfortable room with a good view of some domed building (sorry, I don't know what it was) and beyond. I think the only "upgrade" we got with me as a Hilton Diamond member was to an upper floor, but that was fine, we'd booked at the last minute (literally the day of arrival) and the hotel seemed pretty full. Nice staff. I'm a light sleeper and I didn't notice whether the walls were thin, but then again we were just there for a couple of days. Oddly, one respect in which the hotel undersells itself (albeit in a minor way) regards what it calls a continental breakfast in its lounge (which I guess is just for Hilton Gold and Diamond members). Actually, there are both hot and cold items available via the buffet (no waiter service - it's much more basic than that). Certainly not an expansive selection of items, and the lounge is nothing special - it is just a big room with perhaps a dozen or so tables, a couch (IIRC), and a tv in one end. But, contrary to how most folks would interpret continental breakfast, it has both hot and cold items in the buffet, and a very nice, helpful lounge attendant.

Boston in May
Loved the location of the hotel. The staff were very pleasant and gave us excellent tips about the area. They accommodated us with a late check out and our car was safely parked for the entire day. We were able to catch a cab to a college graduation with ease and did not have to figure out where to park once we got to the graduation, Priceless! They also recommended a great breakfast location, very reasonable. All in all I would stay there again. I would look for a better rate in the future, graduation weekend prices are out of control at all hotels.

Here for work- nice hotel
This hotel is located right in the heart of the city. Subways close by. Not really a decorated room- but nice carpet and room had a chaise. I would recommend others to stay here. Very clean lobby, elevators, and room.

One eye crying the other laughing
I stayed in Hilton Boston Back Bay in June 2013. As the title of this review suggests there were services, which made me very happy and others, which were quite disappointing. The location of the hotel is very good, it is very close to the Prudential (green line) metro station, to Prudential shopping facilities and conference sites. Back Bay is a nice area in Boston, it is safe and not that noisy. Receptionists are very nice people, they are extremely helpful and kind. The hotel furniture and airco look a bit old, but it is okay. The fitness room is well-equipped, the swimming pool is quite small for real swimming. I did really appreciate that I could open the window in my room to let some fresh air into the room. There is a charge for wifi in the rooms (wifi is free in the lobby area only) but it is fast and reliable. The biggest problem of this hotel is the cleanliness. The carpeted floor behind and under beds and in the corners was last vacuum cleaned over a year ago probably. Dust was almost one centimeter thick under the bed. I asked the housekeeping to clean it up but she did it only right under the edges of the bed and the same layer of dust is still standing there deeper under the bed. ALL sheets were stained, red dots, yellow stains, grey marks, etc. Some sheets are old (sort of yellow and grey) while others are new (bright white) which looked very bad, too. At one point I decided to stay in room while housekeeping was changing sheets. I discovered stains in 6 sets of sheets and so they had to change them again and again. The very same issue with towels. I think there is a serious problem with the laundry service provider. It was sometimes pretty difficult to communicate with housekeeping, too, they are all middle-aged women with bad command in English. They were nice, smiling all the time but there were many misunderstandings because of language problems, for example they came to knock on my door at 8 in the morning because they thought I was the one who asked for something, simply because they misunderstood the room number. I also observed one of them cleaning the toilet, the washbasin, the glasses and the coffee maker respectively without washing hands (the thought still makes me shiver). This hotel offers some good things but it definitely needs improvement.

Well Placed for Fenway Park and Convention centre.
We had just 3 nights here and found it to be OK. The room was adequate but nothing special, the view was NON - existent, we looked out over the inner part of the building. This was not a major problem as we were in Boston for the sight seeing , which was brilliant, we loved Boston and the Bostonian's we met. It is well placed for lots of things you would want to do whilst visiting Boston. The Prudential Centre, Boylston Street, Fenway Park, the Park and Freedom Trail. It is probably the worst Hilton I have stayed in. for quality and service. The young lady who greeted us on arrival was very nice but spoke limited English and seemed to know very little about the area other than what was on a printed hand out. We did not even discover we could eat breakfast here other than in Starbucks until after we checked out !! Overall I would not use the Back Bay Hilton again.
