Good location, not a 4 star
Pluses: Location of this hotel is good - within a walking distance from Vatican, Castel Sant-Angelo... The interior decoration is modern with clin d'oeil to modern art - our portion of the 3rd floor had a wall dedicated to Miles Davis. The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean. The bathroom is elegantly designed and very practical. The breakfast buffet is very good, the choice is limited, but sufficient. Breakfast coffee from the coffee machine is okay, if you really don't like it, just order and pay extra for the real espresso deal at the bar. Same for orange juice. The staff are helpful, polite and nice, all but one person spoke very good English. Minuses: In the rooms overlooking the street the traffic noise can be heard also with windows closed. The idea of putting spotlights pointing upwards on the facade, might seem esthetically good, but is a source of light just outside the window with only black curtains to block it out. TV has Italian Sky programs and virtually no international ones. Volume can only be regulated on the TV set, not with the remote (or maybe that was just the problem in our room). Wireless was sometimes non-existent. The faucet was defective (one part kept falling off) and remained like that for the whole of our stay. The towels (all of them, not just once) left small white cotton balls all over our dark clothes. For the last two days we were bothered by noises of a drilling machine; at the reception they kind of didn't really know what was going on, but, said (on Friday afternoon) that the works should cease soon for the week-end. Guess what: on Saturday we could see there were major reconstruction works going on in what used to be a bank office on the ground floor in the same building. And we noticed it, because they also worked on Saturday. No swimming pool or other amenities that we would expect from a 4-star hotel.

Very nice hotel in the city of Rome
The hotel is a pretty nice hotel with some unusually angled rooms, the architect must have been very busy laying out the design.Some of the best features of this hotel are the reception staff and the people who cleaned the rooms.These guys who manned reception could not have been more genuinely friendly and helpful.The cost of the rooms was not cheap but I suppose this is Rome!The breakfast buffet left quite a lot to be desired,it surely would not take much to improve it.Location is reasonably good,close enough to the Vatican on a busy street but is a distance from ancient Rome... bring comfortable footwear. ROME is definitely worth a visit.

Hotel twenty one is well situated for all attractions , we walked to all of them including the Vatican and the colosseum , there is a nice bar at the end of the road "little devil".Rooms we lovely paid a bit more and got a suite it was superb

Excellent Hotel, Room and Location
My wife and I spent a long anniversary weekend at Hotel Twentyone. Though our time was limited mostly to sleeping, we did enjoy our stay in a junior suite.Positives:-- Great location-- Very friendly and nice staff, including at the bar-- Breakfast bar, while a bit generic, was plentiful, tasty and (at least for me) always had donuts-- Great hot water and water pressure. If you think this is unimportant, talk to me after walking a few kilometers around Rome-- Knowledgeable front desk. We asked for a restaurant where locals eat, ended up at our best dinner of the trip at Le Cupole just four blocks awayNegatives:-- WiFi is horrendous unless you are in the lobby. Basically unusable even if you are able to connect.-- When we tested the jacuzzi, dirt spewed out of the jets for the first five seconds. We drained, waited until the next day, then it was fine, but it was a bit unnerving.The round beds are a great novelty. Some folks call them hard, but I just viewed them as firm, which I prefer. The soft sheets and pillows balanced it out well.We'd stay there again!

twentyone are so beautiful
i book a jr suite for my honeymoon and we love it. we remain there for 5 days and every day we use jacuzzy, with elegant circular for therest is in a very good area with metro close by. room are not so big but clean.. romantic ambience is evenly supplemented with all the modern amenities to make a couple¿¿¿s stay unforgetable.
