Great room & Great Bar.
A great hotel in a fantastic location. I loved this. There isn't much to the hotel except the rooms (which are immaculate and roomy) and the bar/restaurant (which is fun and delicious). You get more than what you pay for in terms of quality so if you're looking for somewhere in the centre of Belfast that's top quality and mid priced you should be here.

So much potential
We couldn't help but write a review with an average rating. This hotel has so much potential, it just needs a makeover and professional management to make it top ranked. There clearly were a couple of things we liked: space of the room and bathroom, the sound system and tv, friendliness of receptionist and foremost the location of the hotel. We really disliked however : 1) the breakfast area on the left of the entrance: Walls at the far end of the "buffet" were very dirty and the wall paper was pealing off at several places. Arrangement of chairs & tables made it look like a cheap coffee shop at a train station. 2) breakfast: the "buffet" was lacking diversity and was nothing to write home about. Actually, the word "buffet" was an insult. There was one bowl of fruit salad, if it was empty by 09:30 am it wasn't replenished although breakfast time ended at 10:00 am. Juices were not freshly made and tasted flat. Toast was lacking taste and cereals were presented packaged. (Motel or Boutique Hotel?) If a box of cereal was opened by somebody but not emptied entirely it was put back to the sealed boxes. Really? The daily "a la carte" menu only consisted of eggs in all varieties and porridge, nothing else. We traveled for a month through Ireland and didn't want to eat eggs every day. Every simple B&B offered alternatives and healthier choices. We just have no idea were others who praised this breakfast ever stayed before. Staff in the breakfast area wasn't very energetic and never had a smile on their face. 3) Floor leading to room 206: you step out of the elevator and face a mega dirty door used by cleaning staff. Has management ever been on this floor? How about some cleaning and some fresh paint? Carpets were stained. 4) Room 206: furniture was clearly used extensively, at least that's how the wood looked like...scratched on all the etches. Chairs were comfy but had stains.Overall, the hotel doesn't deserve more than an average rating. Management has to take care of lapses and less rely on positive ratings. With little investment and staff training this hotel has so much potential.

Good value
Location was good, right in the middle of the Queens area about 10 minutes form the city centre.Room was modern & clean, the bed was a little soft for my taste but that's just me. Breakfast was decent and the staff were always polite and helpful. My only gripe was the poor design of the shower. It was impossible not to flood the bathroom floor which made it very slippery and quite dangerous. Also, there was no where in the shower to put your toiletries apart from the base which wasn't the most convenient.

Perfect hotel for a Belfast stay
The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. They have a baby listening service which allowed us to eat in their restaurant. The food at breakfast and dinner was fantastic, the location in the university area was perfect and the hotel was very well kept.

Great hotel in Belfast
We booked this hotel based on the reviews and couldn't think of anything we didn't like about this hotel! It was the best hotel we stayed at on our Ireland/UK holiday. Couldn't believe the what a great deal it was for the price. The room was spacious and impecabbly clean with a very comfortable bed, high ceilings, venitian blinds, double paned windows, and flat screen TV. The bathroom was modern with tile floors, a rain shower, large tub, and towel warmer. It was very inviting after spending a rain soaked day outside. The location is at a street corner and a few steps from coffee shops/cafes, and a 10-15 minute walk to other restaurants and city center. The staff was very friendly and informative about the area. Nice restaurant with great breakfast included and bar with nightly entertainment. Would definitely stay here again!
