Does the job
We booked a suite for one night to attend a wedding in Bridge Of Allan. The look of this hotel is modern and pretty cool so that's nice. It is a bit tired in places and could do with some TLC, freshened up and probably slightly more attention to the standard of cleaning - it is not really dirty but it's not gleaming either. The real complaint about this hotel is the noise from the street on a Saturday night - if you have a room that faces to the front. We got to bed just before 1am after a great wedding but then were kept awake for long periods as people left the pub and club below the hotel. The breakfast was good and all the staff were friendly and efficient. All in all it was a fine hotel for what we wanted - just try to get a quiet room.

Unexpected stay
We had booked in to the Ivy Hotel in Bridge of Allan but were told they had no record of our booking we had an hour to get ready for a wedding. Then we were directed to the Adamo the room we had was lovely, bed a bit soft but a great room and bathroom was huge. The only problem was when the Night Club emptied the noise in the hotel was awful. Wish we had stayed for breakfast but we joined the wedding party in the Royal Hotel and had cold food and we were all squashed into too few tables. For once we can up trumps with the Adamo. Great staff,

Starting to show it's age
Stayed in room IV - carpet in bedroom starting to lift/frayed at join, dressing table had nail varnish on it, bathroom looking very tired with cracked tiles on floor, chipped bath, temperature control handle removed and side jets for shower disconnected. On showering next morning discovered why - the feeble overhead unit put water all over the floor so with the unit in full order it would have been a wet room. The hotel has a Club in the basement and obviously the weekend market has well used the rooms to excess. The main reason for choosing this 4* was the restaurant which was closed - had a very limited bar menu and while very food was excellently prepared had already seen items on the full menu we wished to try. The hotel is ideal for the younger market but we would not return.

Outstanding
It has to be said, this is one beautiful hotel. The bedroom was absoloutely to die for I didn't want to leave! The decor was so beautifully thought about me and my husband will definately be coming here again. We dined in the Restaurant and the service was really good very helpful and polite staff and the food again was to die for, we had pigeon breast to start and steak for main. One of the tastiest things I've eaten. I'd like to thank all of the staff for our stay and delightful service and hope to come and visit again very soon.

Pretty Average fur coat with no knickers!!!
My husband and I checked in on hogmany hoping to enjoy a special new years eve stay and party for our first hogmany as husband and wife instead in the end we felt we would have been better off staying at home. The rooms were not luxury the windows didn't close properly and the halls were a bit smelly like an old damp smell that was quite off putting. Anyway we felt there was no atmosphere in the bar down stairs and the service was terrible at the bar. However at breakfast we had a terrible experience as my husband waited an hour for his cup of coffee that never even came then when we ordered our Scottish breakfast it was as if they were trying to hard on the presentation and not actually making sure the egg etc was cooked properly. Its was served all heaped up in the middle of the plate inedible. When we complained the waitress said that the chef was always very careful and if the egg was poached anymore it would be fried????? eh no u cant get a fried egg from poaching it. Defo wont be returning there in a hurry. On the plus side we enjoyed the night club Eva as we knew the DJ that was playing.
