The Courtyard Buffalo Amherst was exactly what I expect from a Courtyard hotel - large, modern rooms,. a nice bright entrance area and a good Starbucks/take-out restaurant. It did not disappoint. We actually preferred it to the Buffalo Marriott, where we have stayed previously and which was more expensive. Only criticism was that when I called from the highway to ask for which exit to take the person answering the phone had to put me on hold for a lengthy time period while she checked the answer. Somewhat surprising, because I am sure I was not the first to ask the question. I'd stay there again.

The Courtyard Buffalo Amherst is a nice newly renovated hotel.This hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is located in a quiet area an a short drive away from Niagara Falls (15 Minutes), the Buffalo Niagara Airport, shopping, and restaurants.The only problem we had during our visit was with the internet. The wi-fi was very, very slow and really wasn't worth using. Something you should consider if you are traveling for business and require a fast internet connection.Other than the poor internet connection, our stay was enjoyable and we would stay again.

I only stayed one night, but very nice appearance and friendly staff. Rooms were very spacious. Perfect for a stay for activities near University of Buffalo. The phones were not working that night, but front desk had made arrangements to contact guests via their cell phones if needed. Main lobby very comfortable / great appearance.

A rare five stars for a property of this class. Don¿¿¿t confuse this with a four star high end property, but at this price point, it¿¿¿s hard to beat.We stayed here for four nights when the hotel was sold out due to a large swim meet in town. Despite the crowd, we slept better than at many of our past stays at the aforementioned high end hotels. There is a restaurant that serves good food from a limited menu, but there is something for everyone. There is a little shop where they also have ice cream and other food that can be microwaved if you don¿¿¿t want what they have at the restaurant. The pool is indoors along with a whirlpool. The workout facility, while small is nicely equipped with treadmills with tv¿¿¿s and a few weights. The hotel¿¿¿s common areas and rooms were very clean and the beds are comfortable. Now for the details:Location: It is very close to several restaurants, including Duff¿¿¿s (for wings) less than 5 minutes away. There is a mall about 10 minutes away and we highly recommend a stop at Wegman¿¿¿s (yes it¿¿¿s a grocery, but so much more. We actually had 3 meals there). Best of all, it is right at the exit to the interstate and not far from the airport (15 minutes), though far enough away that we did not hear or see any planes. It is close to University of Buffalo, though there is a Marriott that is closer.Lobby and Amenities: The lobby has an upbeat feel to it with plenty of seating, free use of computers and printers, a couple of televisions and an interactive screen to get news. The previously mentioned restaurant is here as well. No free breakfast, but wifi is free throughout the hotel.Rooms: We were in room 202 at the end of the hall. The room was spacious, had plenty of lighting, a good sized functional desk and an okay sized bathroom (one sink, not two), but there is another area outside the bathroom where someone could get ready. There is a refrigerator in the room and a safe. The bed was very comfortable and while we would have liked king sized pillows, what they provided was more than adequate and comfortable. The hotel has just gone through a renovation and it shows. The thermostat worked well and it did not take long to heat or cool the room. The television was a nice flat screen with plenty of choices for programming. There is also free coffee in the room (no tea, bring your own).Staff: The staff was just great and very helpful. We needed a room to meet with others who were there and they let us use a function room that held around 50-60 people. When we had leftover food they even stored it for us to use the next day since we did not have enough space in our refrigerators. The staff here made a difference and it really helped us enjoy our stay and recommend the hotel to people like you.This is a Courtyard, not a Marriott, Hyatt or Ritz, but it was exactly what we needed.

The staff is always really nice and the food is fantastic at the bistro. Get the BBQ chicken flatbread. 24 hr Starbucks too.They decorated the hotel very modern and colorful so you can't help to be cheery.Rate are decent for the area with great access to the highways.
