Terrific luxury stay in Dubai
Just had our third stay at this terrific luxury hotel in Dubai. Very classy. Rooms are spacious and elegant and the beds are extremely comfortable. The staff could not be more attentive. Right on the Jumeirah Beach walk lined with restaurants and shopping. Superb fitness centre and pool. Really cost effective compared to other older and more expensive properties.Ask for Arvind - the Guest Relations Manager; He is extremely gracious, helpful and can produce miracles!

TERRIBLE " STAY AWAY"
Just returned from a 9 night stay at this so called 5 star hotel and trust me it was far from enjoyable and customer service with regards to management of this hotel is non exsistant.We had booked 2 rooms interconnecting 4 months prior to our arrival on a half board basis and all the details of all the 6 people ( 4 adults and 2 children ) staying in the 2 rooms provided to the agents and the hotel prior to our arrival.We arrived very early in the morning and when we got to our rooms to our horror there was only 1 bed in each room so i went to the front desk and asked if they had made a mistake with our rooms but the manager said to me that thats wat we only get, i told him if he was pulling my leg becuse it clearly says on his screen infront of him and on my itinerary that we have six people do you expect 4 people to sleep on the floor as you only have 1 bed in each room he said we have to pay extra for a bed in each room so with disgust i went to my room embarrassed and had to sleep like a dog with 3 of us in 1 bed.The following morning their was a new manager at the front desk so i thought i would tell him about the disaster that had happened but he told me the same thing i had to pay extra for a bed in each room.i must point out that i paid nearly ¿¿5000 alone for a 5 star service at a 5 star hotel but was given a less than 2 star service. I have never felt more conned and ripped off in my life and would never reccomend this hotel to anybody. I have much more negatives to say about this hotel but i think i have made my point.PLS PLS STAY AWAY

...rotana rules....
Just stayed in Rotana Amwaj for the last two notes in Dubai. (Now at the Rotana in Abu Dhabi).Rotana alway meant a level of service above the rest and a high degree of design and atmosphere. This is a very good hotel although not one I will remember for long. The staff and services to be sure are stellar. The location is actually great. Love the Italian bar / restaurant on level 2. Had a large superior room, but again, not memorable.With so many hotels chasing your pound and dollar, these guys need a major make over.

Brilliant Hotel
Loved this hotel. Please do not be too worried about the building work that is going on as it does NOT cause any problems, infact we quite enjoyed whatching them going about their work. We were on the 23rd floor and the noise level was Not an issue. We were informed by our Travel Agents about the construction (I gues due to bad reviews), but we still sent and are very pleased with the hotel, location and would go back again.
