Used the Park hotel for a reunion on Saturday 1st June 2013. The hotel is easily located opposite Nottingham's very beautiful Arboretum, and is serviced by a tram which runs outside (however it is only a 5 minute walk to the city centre.)The hotel has many floors but the stairs are very steep and creaky. This was certainly more noticeable in the evening when returning to the room. The parking situation was not a problem as we arrived after 5.30 on the Saturday afternoon and there was a space in the street adjacent.The bed was two large singles placed together, very soft mattress, very comfy. There was a large flat screen digital tv in the room but the bed was too big for the size of the room. The wardrobe was located close to the bathroom, and the bathroom door opened out into the room which was annoying. The sink was in the room. The bathroom was incredibly small with no additional drying space. The shower was hot and towels were supplied. Tea and coffee was in the room. The window only opened slightly but we left it open for the duration of our stay. The bar/restaurant did not serve draught beers (I did not buy one so cannot comment on the food) and there is a full English for ¿¿8.50 which includes all the continental options as well, however we ventured into town. Location wise this hotel is excellently placed and we paid around ¿¿60 for the room. Unfortunately the size of the room (it seemed that cramming was a feature of the hotel as the reception was squeezed under the stairs) let the overall rating of the hotel down.

We stayed one night (Saturday) following a trip to Nottingham Racecourse. We were allowed to check in early (12pm) at no extra cost, parking permit was given (¿¿20 deposit but refunded as soon as we left). Staff were friendly and hotel is very safe (have to ring two bells to gain access, then keycard access once checked in (same with the room). Stayed in room 5 on the first floor, view nothing to write home about but we didn't really care. Room on small side but totally adequate, bathroom and shower v.small but very hot water and very powerful!All in all a good stay, got it for a bargain at ¿¿50 on late rooms, would recommend and stay again! x

Hotel is well styled and looks very pretty on the outside. The rooms are an okay size; the bed was very comfortable. You can get noise from the surrounding room, but at night is was pretty quiet. We were woken at 5am but a bunch of drunken blokes, but that isn't really the hotels thought- although no one told them to go to bed! Major downside was the en suite! The shower is claustrophobically small, and you don't get much more than a dribble of water, albeit quite a strong dribble. Food in the restaurant is edible but you can tell it's just something they have just popped in the microwave. Parking is awkward! They can give you a permit for resident parking (if you can find a space) but want a ¿¿20 pound deposit! This is on top of a ¿¿5 deposit when you get to the hotel for the room. All in all, if you want a cheap hotel, this isn't bad, but, there are better out there.

When we arrived parking was a problem, there were no permits left so we were unable to park on the road directly outside of the hotel so we were given directions to a free car park over the hill and at the bottom of the road. The room was bright which was nice and abit small for great for the one night we were staying for, the staff were very friendly and helpfull to us and the hotel was only a 5 minute walk away from the city centre. The value for money was very good and I would consider staying here again.

This hotel is in an excellent position for the town centre, being just 5 minutes walk away. I know I timed it! Convenient if you want the theatre, as we did, or other activity in the centre of town.It was good value and had a pretty outlook onto the park across the road.
