Nice but without a modern Television...
I stayed at this hotel from 28 April to 02 May 2013 at a Deluxe room in 14th floor. This is a calm and quite hotel at the heart of Sukhumvit - Bangkok. Staffs are very cordial. Room service,Housekeeping very good. By location its nicely placed, nearer to all amenities. Food, breakfast are magnificent. And through the windows you can see the fabulous parts of the city. That's fascinating. But only one problem I faced and that was the television in the room( even in deluxe) was an old fashioned one. It should have been at least a LCD television. If you want a quite hotel through which window want to see the landscape then you may choose this one. Never mind for the old fashioned TV...!!!!

Good Hotel
Stayed here in February & April on the 3 for 2 package in the club tribica package. Rooms are on the 15th floor & are very spacious, good sized tv & bed, but bed is on the hard side. The package itself is good value, the mini bar has 4 beers & various soft drinks & in February also had chocolates sadly missing on my last visit, these are all replaced on a daily basis. The happy hour takes place between 5 & 7 pm on the 2nd floor but lacks atmosphere, on the other hand you can fill your boots with a wide range of alcohol, served by a very attentive lady & being a relatively small room you get to meet fellow travelers. The other good thing about this room is that this is where you have breakfast on this package which again is of a good standard, plenty of it & good service & means you miss the chaos of the breakfast room on the ground floor which at times can be packed. One slight disappointment for me was on leaving i asked to book a room for my return the following week & was told" i had to book on the internet or pay a 200 baht premium", which seemed stupid when i was stood there in reception , i was greeted with a typical Thai shrug of the shoulders & told" they had to be fair to other customers " so am i not a customer. Anyway i did not do this & went to another hotel up the road after all there are plenty to choose from. Having said that i hope to return in June & book the same package as i feel it is good value.

Good location, great staff.
I stayed here on four separate occasions over a 6 week period as I passed through Bangkok repeatedly. I liked it the first time and found it good value for money.On my second visit I was greeted by name on arrival, a nice touch, and was made to feel very welcome on all my visits.Rooms are spacious, comfortable and quiet. Nothing is too much trouble for staff.The location is near the end of Soi 5, about 5 minutes walk from Sukhumvit and the BTS. There's some very good street food nearby and a 7Eleven across the road.

Dated hotel
This hotel in my opinion is a two star as it is very dated and old as I've said but you need to go and see for yourselfs staff are pleasant and helpfull the food was ok .From the reception it looks good the restaurant looks good the food was ok.But when you go to the lifts you will see what it really is like. As I've said dated the only thing I found was it is good as its near everything.

Very central and easy access to Metro.
We are a family of four - with a teenage daughter and an adult son.we chose Bel Aire hotel because it suited our budget. We were pleasantly surprised : great rooms; atmosphere , cleanliness and friendly staff.We stayed 20 - 25 December 2012. Very central, easy access to Metro and thus travel easy to huge Open Air/ Shed Flea market ; and Metro to Sukhumvit Airport. The location is central to Halaal Middle Eastern & Indian Restaurants ; take out places which were an important aspect to our family. A big clean Food supermarket in same road as hotel; plus a pharmacy & many places for massages etc. we were fortunate to have lived at Bel Aire Hotel due to it being central,It's friendly atmosphere and lovely big, clean swimming pool on 3 rd floor. A lovely place to return to!!
