Location, Location, Location!!
Clean (and I'm a lil picky) Spacious (we paid more for the "executive" 2Q and it was worth the extra space)Close (M Burger across street, Mag Mile around corner, restaurants, pubs, etc...)Yes! you hear sirens all night even from the 38th floor but that is to be expected and really isn't bothersome. Yes! some of the furniture looks dated and wornNo! the staff is not "friendly" - don't expect any welcomes or greetings, they only spoke when spoken to. I don't think I saw any smiles. However, I would stay again because of the ideal location and clean spacious rooms.

Dated
Chose to stay here during a recent business trip. The hotel is in a good location for shopping and sightseeing. However, the rooms are dated and the elevator is one of the slowest i have come across - common to wait 3 to 4 minutes.The bar in the hotel serves a good breakfast but in the evening seems to attract some local homeless people, harmless enough but not something used to from other Crowne Plaza's

Great hotel, could use some updates
We're extremely satisfied with this hotel and will likely stay here again. We got upgraded to a King Suite on the 37th floor with a great view over the lake. The staff have been very helpful and the housekeeping made a great impression by setting my 2-yr old sons stuffed animals up on the bed. The bed is very comfortable and we've had some great nights sleep. Location can't be beat! A block from the Mag Mile, a walk to the Navy Pier, a long but beautiful walk to the Aquarium. Stores and restaurants all over the place.Downsides - Very noisy fans and poor soundproofing, you can hear all the sirens outside and every conversation in the hallway and adjoining rooms.Peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling.no concierge desk, $10 for very slow internet in room.The rooftop pool is only open Memorial Day until Labour Day. The weather has been 25-30C for weeks, why is the pool still drained and closed ?! Very disappointing.Overall we'll definately stay here again the next time we come to Chicago. The upgrade and fantastic staff have made up for the cons. Especially if we come after Memorial day so we can play in the pool!

Centrally located with a good breakfast
The hotel is centrally located in the finance and shopping district with an attached parking lot for your car. Taxis are plentiful and reasonably priced. If you want and you have the time the Navy Pier is within walking distance but I don't recommend it.The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There is an attached Pub/bar where you can breakfast lunch and dinner but the area is littered with places to eat depending on your taste.The only reason I did not give it the highest rating was due to a banging noise that could be heard in the room at night that I could not figure out. By the second night I was used to it so it did not matter.

Nice Hotel but too loud at night even on 29th floor!
Stayed one night and room was great. Great location. Everything as it should be. Parking is $50 though. If you get there before 9AM you can self park in the facility they use for $20 a day but you will have to wait to check in at 2pm. However, because the Hospital is across the street the sirens go and go all night long. Woke me a few times. All else is very good especially the entire staff. They were very helpful.Also don't eat in the Elephant and Castle unless you like bad service, overpriced food and long wait for your food. Just like the U.K.
