Plenty of Bang for your Buck
We stayed at this Hotel for one night in May 2013. Okay, so its not in the best of areas, surrounded by Shops and wasteland, The outside could do with a coat of paint and some TLC and the interior in places looks like its been forgotten, but overall we had no complaints whatsoever. The staff were more than obliging. The room was tidy and clean if a little dated. The bar was perfectly okay and the food was magnificent. We had a three course meal for seven people and it was exceptional. there were no complaints at all. The breakfast was also good except the mushrooms were a bit soggy .....The double room price of ¿¿45 included full breakfast. All in all exceptional value for money. There were a few cracks in the plaster here and there along with minor things like a hole in the curtain and a rather well worn settee in the room but we can all find faults if we look hard enough. I would stay there again without hesitation.One suggestion to the management. Without knowing the full circumstances It might be a good idea, if possible, to find a place for the young man who seemed to spend all day and night, lounged across the furniture in reception using his telephone, somewhere else to sit.

Short Stay!
Have to say that I was not impressed by the twin room. It needed some TLC and modernising, a flat screen TV would have given more space on the desk / dresser. That said its in a good location. The restaurant suprised me in that it was very good. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and it did not disappoint.Staff very friendly, helpful and attentive.

Perfect venue for The Grand National Races at Aintree, however...
Right side of view from outside, very dated, 70's look. Once inside, greeted by lovely staff and throughout the weekend. Lift door ancient, like a false door and staircases again, very dated 70's style. Rooms were comfortable, mine warm, another on end/outside cold. Both safes in two rooms one locked from previous guest and other not working. Staff offered use of their safe behind front desk. Hairdryer not working (got a replacement), hole in one towel, burnt irons and marks in both rooms baths! ¿¿250 a night for the Grand National was rather extreme as the quality didn't warrant that but the dates probably did.After all of the above, it was the perfect venue for the races and the staff excellent and the food, which was also excellent and they do not skimp on portions, was very good and tasty.

Very enjoyable stay
We stayed here for a long weekend and met up with friends, the rooms were clean and comfortable at a very reasonable price. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we would certainly stay here again, Its close enough to the City, you can either go in by train or Taxi. I have to say the taxi company we used was Delta and it has to be the most friendy, reliable and reasonably priced Taxis we have ever used.

Grand national hotel
Stayed at the park hotel with my wife Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th march room was very nice breakfast was extra nice ate in hotel Saturday night also had Sunday lunch at hotel food was very good and very reasonably priced hotel has a great bar themed on the grand national, the race course is a 15 minute walk or a couple of minutes by cab, the beer wine etc in bar was first class and the staff were excellent could not do enough for you, we got cab to the city centre ¿¿7 00 so we could have a drink, the hotel is 10minutes from Goodson park and anfield we had an executive room with full English for ¿¿120 for the both of us great value.
