Enjoyable stay
We stayed here for a long weekend recently, on a package deal which included Breakfast and Evening Meal . The room was nice with all the amenities that you would expect from a Marriott. It is primarily considered a business hotel and we certainly saw lots of functions taking place during our stay. As it was the weekend, the Executive Lounge was not in operation but you could go and get drinks from a particularly vicious coffee machine which made threatening noises and shot clouds of steam out at you! Breakfast was good; the team coped amazingly well with the large amount of guests that they were providing for. We found the restaurant a bit of a disappointment when it came to the Evening Meal though. It advertised itself as an "Asian European Restaurant". For us the menu had too much rice and pasta. We would have just liked one option of good old meat and veg to ring the changes! The gym pool were nice although we would have preferred not to be joined in the Saunas by children using them to play hide and seek in! Although, as mentioned above, this hotel is considered a business one, it would be nice if the Reception Desk held some local maps and information about places to go out and about to in the vacinity, as we noticed lots of families were also staying here . There are several very nice parks close by, and thank you to Terry the amazing porter gave us directions of how to get to them!All in all a great value stay if you can get a "Deal", we just felt it needed to be bit more family friendly.

Great place to stay on business
I stayed at this hotel for one night on business. The hotel is perfectly placed 2mins from the M1 so it's perfect for me visiting clients across the midlands and up and down the M1.The atrium is great to have informal meetings and a coffee and also to use the reliable free wifi connection to catch up on emails in a well lit, pleasant environment.The Mixx restaurant provides excellent food for both dinner and breakfast. I had the Szechaun Pork for dinner which was delicious.All of the staff are friendly and helpful attending to anything that I needed.I made use of both the hotel gym and the pool and spa facilities. I love weight training so a well equipped gym is important to me. It is open from 6am till late, so i manged to train before and after work! I managed to get everything I needed with the dumbells (up to 30kg) and the barbell and bench with plates. The only other thing that the gym could do with is a squat rack and pull up bar!The room was nice enough, the bed had seen better days (a little lumpy in places) but I still had a decent night sleep!All in all, I found this an excellent hotel and I will be staying again on future business trips.

Excellent Stay
I stayed at the Marriott on business and it was a lovely overnight stay.The room was very clean, the bed was huge (!) and the hotel facilities were excellent. The breakfast was as you would expect from Marriott - so no disappointment there.Special mention, however, to the Fitness facilities. They were very well kept and the equipment was top of the range and very well maintained. If I lived close - I would join their gym!It's a good 15/20 minute taxi ride from Leicester station but very handy for drivers as it is close to the M1.I would recommend the Hotel.

Great stay
Stayed here for a night on a business trip to Leicester. Very nice lobby, great rooms & service, called a taxi for me early in the morning no problem. Ran out of the FT newspaper though & gave me the daily mail instead, which was very disappointing.

Very smart
The facilities are excellent, and the rooms are very clean and modern. Tge swimming pool was very clean, and the changing/shower facilities were great. The hotel staff were also very friendly. The breakfast variety was average, however I have stayed in cheaper hotels that offered more in this area.
