Lovely hotel
We stayed for 4 nights with a coach group. The hotel was spotlessly clean. We had a lovely oom with a balcony overlooking the small lake. The food was good and the staff were friendly and polite and couldn't do enough for us all.

Good value
A pleasant stay in a good sized room, which was on the quiet side of the hotel.I didn't eat in the restaurant, but the reception and bar staff were very helpful & polite. A colleague changed her room easily after complaining about the noise from a wedding party.

Really lovely hotel with friendly, helpful staff
Stayed for one night (Friday) with a friend before a convention in Telford. We arrived at 2pm which was earlier than anticipated but reception staff were friendly and helpful and were confident that our room was ready. The room was really pleasant with a beautiful view over the surrounding countryside, the small lake in the grounds and had a balcony too. After going out running and getting caught in a downpour we asked for extra towels which we received with no problem. Later in the evening we had a delicious meal in the bar area, it was a really relaxing ambience and I have to say that the bar staff were really professional and helpful. My only negative comment is that my pillow wasn't comfortable - I reported this upon departure and they took it on board. Breakfast was great with lots of choice, we did have a slight delay getting seated but this was because we were first down. I'd definitely recommend this hotel if you need to stay near Telford but don't want an impersonal chain type hotel. Buckatree Hall is near enough to the motorway and yet is situated in beautiful countryside surroundings.

Lovely hotel but watch out for weddings
I have stayed at the hotel many times and it was good to see it had been renovated on this visit and looking spick and span. The staff are always helpful and most of the rooms, especially those with balconies, are really Nice. However beware the wedding parties. On my last visit my room was over the wedding venue and the noise from the disco was truly terrible. I waited until 11.15 pm expecting it would end at 11.00 but no it was due to contine until 2am. I choose to stay at this hotel when in the area on business because of its quiet rural location. I know they need to have weddings but with a bit of planning non wedding guests could be housed away from the wedding party.The helpful staff found me a nice quiet room away from the wedding when I asked but by this time it was midnight and did not make for a restful nights sleep and a busy working day the next day.This is the second time I have had this experience here and I must say it has made me wary of staing again.

Good hotel can' t cope when busy
As we were stopping in hotel for weekend, wanted to book for lunch on Sunday told they were too busy. When we booked weekend we asked if we needed to book in the RESTAURANT and were told book when in hotel.
