Fab as usual
Have stayed here twice now and great quality hotel with fantastic food. We had a package DBB deal with a free cream tea thrown in which was a lovely surprise. Always my first choice in Inverness. Only gripe was the free WiFi is rubbish in the bedroom we were in but reception is great in the lounge area so no really a deal breaker for us. It meant we had a wee dram while we caught up on Facebook and Twitter before bed....!

Heaven for a weary traveler
I love this place. Gorgeous room (lucked out with the honeymoon suite as it was the last room available the night I showed up). Very comfortable bed, large tub to soak in, higher end toiletries, fluffy towels, beautiful view, staff who couldn't do enough to make the visit comfortable and happy. Excellent food, really excellent. Eggs perfectly poached each morning. Best mushroom risotto ever. It's not cheap, but still quite reasonable I felt. I was just making my way round Britain, finding accommodations as I went and tried four hotels in town that were booked full or wanted too much given their look (same rate, but overlooking garbage bins and alleyway). I decided to head out of town to see what I could find and I came across Drumossie by chance; stayed three nights in heaven, for about the same as I was quoted in town. Town is only a 5 min drive away if you want to spend time there or to find cheaper food. I love this place and if I ever get back to Scotland, I will definitely be back.

Relaxing stay
Stayed overnight prior to business meeting the following day. Room was lovely, large and clean, staff were very pleasant and helpful. We chose to dine out since we thought the dinner menu was rather pricey and limited in choice for one of our party. Discovered room service menu on our return and thought it a shame that the hotel did not offer this in another part of the hotel as an affordable option.Breakfast was delicious as was lunch.

Nice - but not 4 stars
I've just had a 4 night stay at the New Drumossie Hotel. On arrival the reception was nice, staff friendly and check in swift and smooth. We were in the four poster room which on first impressions seemed lovely. However, on closer inspection the bathrobes were starchy and hard, the "fridge" in the room didn't work, extractor fan didn't work in the bathroom and the water pressure from the shower was very, very weak - a definite struggle trying to wash long hair!! The hotel doesn't have a bar, so to speak, but it has a lounge area (which was very comfortable) where you can order drinks. Be warned though, it is expensive! A glass of Pinot and a pint of beer were ¿¿13! We declined to eat in the restaurant while we were there - mainly due to the extortionate cost! The room was comfortable and the bed was cosy (we definitely slept well!) We were staying on a B & B basis. The breakfast was nice but expensive if you had to pay for it - ¿¿15.50 and the chef definitely needed training on how to poach the perfect egg!! Some reviewers have commented that it was out in the sticks. It wasn't in Inverness city centre but if you have car it was only a 5-10 minute drive. This suited us better as we didn't want to be in a town and wanted to be somewhere more rural. The hotel also doesn't have any "extras" eg pool, spa treatments etc. All in all the hotel was expensive - especially for the lack of facilities -and needed lots of TLC for a 4 star hotel, however, we still had a very comfortable stay and the hotel was a great base for exploring the Highlands!

A lot of money for not a lot of Hotel
Staying in this hotel for ¿¿110 a night D,B&B is a lot of money for what you get. This establishment is meant to be four stars yet it doesn't have a gym, pool, sauna or even a bar.I'll explain! The hotel is very spacious both in the rooms and on the ground floor, a bit rabbit warren like. This gives you a feeling of emptiness despite there being, sometimes, lots of folk about. The stewards serve drinks, so the is technically no reason to have a bar. This is where I got caught out, I ordered a pint of cider. It duly arrived in a glass filled with ice and a bottle of ¿¿1.49 magners and I was presented with a bill of ¿¿5.10!! I damn nearly fell off the couch that I was stuck in. I know businesses need a mark up, but come on!!So it was one drink and then to the meal. This turned out to be a complicated affair. The waiter from the restaurant appeared to our party and presented us with menus. We had to order before going into the dining room, given the time we ordered to sitting down it was almost forty five minutes. Not bad but we had been harassed to be in the lounge for seven sharp. The menu was very good, but very VERY expensive. Scallops were ¿¿12.95 for three and the chicken terrine (¿¿7.95) was the size of a bounty bar. We assumed that because the starter was small the main course would be a good size. Yep, in our dreams! I ordered the sirloin, which is by far one of the best steaks I have tasted. For ¿¿24.50 it had to be! It came with one asparagus stem, four chips and pepper sauce (¿¿2.95) sorry I forgot about the three vine tomatoes as well. The chips things were greasy and the pepper sauce was mediocre. I ordered a glass of wine (¿¿8.10) which again was mediocre. The service staff were Very good but our wine waiter was struggling to speak to us in english and then became flustered to the point it was embarrassing. No fault of his, he was just out his depth dealing with quickly speaking scots. Now I said it was complicated the meal, well the menu has the words "¿¿35 for persons taking Dinner B&B towards the cost of the menu" this meant that once you had spent the thirty five pounds you had to pay the balance. There were six of us in our party and two or three of us ordered below the ¿¿35 limit, others in the party ordered over the ¿¿35. So in total we had ¿¿210 towards the bill, everyone included. This is where it gets confusing. The total bill we ran up came to ¿¿256. Because some people went over their allowance they paid the balance in cash but this didn't add up to our cash difference so we asked the waiter if we could have a breakdown of the meal to see where the money had gone. Forty five minutes later!! He came back confused and had itemised everything each person had had. This new bill came to ¿¿234 so where did the other ¿¿20 go? He couldn't understand and neither could we, also we were getting pissed off by now! S we paid and headed back to the lounge to await our steward to sell us extortionately prices gin and tonics...On heading to bed, the lift took us to our floor which was mostly unlit due to these energy saving motion detectors. Once out and walking the lights came on, it was like something out of a horror film as lights went on and off on their own!The bedrooms were spacious as was the bathroom. The first thing you had to do was insert your key fob into another energy saving device which then allowed you to have power to the room.A bottle (small) of water and a glass greeted me on a table in the middle of the room. I thought that this was instead of tea and coffee making facilities, which I found the following morning under the television. It was well stocked with a range of teas and coffees including a cafe tiere thing as well. I couldn't find mentioning in the room literature that the facilities for tea making was in the room, it must be some sort of secret that you get to know if you root about a bit.The bed was actually two singles together with a sodding gap which tries to swallow you in the midd
