very basic budget hotel but great location
The location is just great, right in the middle of one of the main shopping districts. The hotel itself however is very, very basic. Rooms are being renovated and look really promising, but as the building itself is of the old post-war era, there is still a lot to do. This mainly means construction work is going to be expected in the near future (currently underway), and after this is finished the hotel is very good price for value

Clean but noisy
When we arrived at the Quentin we were a little less than impressed with what we had to see. After seeing that state of the building from the outside and the lobby, we had expected the room to look pretty much the same - a state! However the room was pretty much perfect. It was extremely clean and modren looking. It's all you could ask for from a standard hotel room on a budget getaway. There is A LOT of construction work going on inside of the hotel so if you want to chill out in your room between the hours of 0800am and 1800pm then you might want to take some ear defenders! The drilling doesn't stop really at all between these hours unfortunately. If you are unfortunate as us to get your room at the back of the building then you will get a lovely view of what looks like a rubbish tip.Overall if you are looking for somewhere cheap, clean and in an ideal location to the city then this hotel will be perfect for you.

quentin hotel in berlin: bad choice
no matter to close well the window to not let light enter at dawn, the bathtube was broken below, the shower was cold and it became hotter after 30min of flushing water, the moquette on the floor was unclean, with old spots, and moreover the staff was absolutely UNFRIENDLY with exception of a girl...

Ideal 'budget' hotel
Location is ideal - centrally located and within walking distance of transport links. Our room was on the 3rd floor and had a small balcony - no use for sitting out but ideal to get a view down the street or a bit of fresh air. The rooms were clean and comfortable - equipped with tv and hairdryer, small table and chairs. The bathroom was a bit odd with the over-the-bath shower fixed to face over the edge of the bath rather than down the length of the bath - may have been something to do with the radiator on the end wall over the bath...! It wasn't the best of showers either, but no big deal. It was a budget hotel so we weren't expecting luxury and was ideal for the limited time we spent inside. Breakfast was limited - cereal, toast bread, cold meats, cheese and eggs, tea coffee and fruit juice, but this was adequate for our needs. There is wifi available in the hotel but only seems to connect in the reception area. For price and location i would stay here again.

Nice basic hotel
Stayed at the hotel on October. Room was ok, very basic but no complaints. Close to Ku'damm and metro station. Service was good, we didn't encounter any problem. I don't know about breakfast because we ate outside the hotel, you can find some nice cheap breakfasts in the city. All in all everything went well, I just think next time in Berlin would prefer a hotel which is closer to Mitte neighborhood which is more central (although Berlin is known to have a few central areas) rather than Charlottenburg.
