Awesome bed, convenient location, disappointing housekeeping
Stayed there for one night. What tipped the scale for us when looking for a place to stay in Nottingham was, that on top of being conveniently located and much more reasonably priced than most other hotels in the area, this placed advertised rooms with king size beds. Considering my bf is 6' 11", that was a big plus. True enough the bed was large and very comfortable (tho still not big enough for my bf :) ). There was little left to be desired about the hotel when it came to housekeeping though. Most things were dated and falling apart and more often than not they could use a bit of cleaning too. The breakfast was a big disappointment also. The area at the roof had a lovely view and at first glance looked very nice... at a second you notice all the things i mentioned above. On top of that, the breakfast itself was poor in selection and mostly cold or stale. Most definitely NOT worth the money! Would not be my first choice if I was in Nottingham again, but the comfy bed could sway me :)

Lovely weekend
As always, we had a pleasant spacious room with a super king size bed. The reception staff are were again pleasant, friendly and efficient. We ate in the restaurant on the fifth floor. We had the special dinner of three courses and a glass of wine for ¿¿19.00 - it was excellent and great value for money!! The hotel has its own car park, which is a bonus in any city. already looking forward to our next stay.

Comfy and Clean
I'm not a cheapskate but this was one of the most reasonably priced hotels available in Nottingham this weekend. We used to live here so know the place well and had come back for a concert and to see family. The Welbecl has great location with easy parking. The room was clean, spacious and had a great comfy superking size bed. Wi-fi was free and decent TV in the room afforded all the entertainment we needed. Iwas a little cold getting ready one evening so turned the heating on easily located on the wall by the bed. It warmed up in no time! The bathroom was lovely with a powerful shower and enormous towels to wrap yourselves in afterwards. If I was being picky I would want a mug for my coffee instead of a small cup and for the coffee to be replaced each day anda timer on the TV. Other than that I have no complaints and would happily stay here again.

Excellent food and reasonably priced, poor bar service expensive drinks, air temperature cold.
We only had a meal in the hotel. The food was excellent and good value for money. However the bar staff service was terrible and very disorganised to say the least. Would not recommend this hotel restaurant bar. Bar staff need proper training on how to treat customers properly, swiftly and definitely not half serving and walking away only to keep the customer waiting and being passed on to another bar staff member to take the expensive payment. How rediculous, uncourteous and inefficient is that! Should have walked away - in hindsight! Plus air conditioning in middle of winter totally mad! Heating obviously costs too much! Just blow the cold air around to put customers off staying too long maybe?
