Average for a decent price!
Average DoubleTree hotel with very standard chain hotel interior.The check-in staff were friendly and informative. As a HH Silver Member we were greeted with a bag of Swedish fish, cookies and water complimentary.Room was ok clean, nothing special. Found a couple of hairs on the bathroom floors that did not come from us.The absolute big NO GO 2013 is that they charge for WiFi per day AND device if you want to use Internet in your room. A real negative thing for our stay.Tried the breakfast the last morning, standard and overcharged. Friendly staff.Location of the hotel is ok.

How Fast Can You Run?
Stayed at this hotel on the recommendation of Tufts, what a mistake. The hotel is one step above a "homeless" shelter--my room had old, tired furniture with the stuffings coming out of the sofa and chairs. Artificial flowers that looked like there had been there since the beginning of time. The room felt dirty and the bathroom was visibly dirty on the bottom of the tub. The first room they put me in was the size of my closet at home and had a terrible odor, unbearable, I asked to be moved. The whole experience was awful, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I am surprised it is part of the Hilton chain--it needs a complete make-over, it should be closed until is redone.

Downtown but not quite central
called the Doubletree downtown it is almost downtown but then not quite. Right opposite the Tufts Medical Center. Conveniently there is a Starbucks downstairs. Rooms quite big but fairly worn down, need some renovation. Very pricey, I paid USD 470 for one night w/o breakfast. Probably other people get a better deal but I felt ripped off. The gym is across the roof on the 2nd floor the Wang YMCA - quite refreshing as it is so very different from a normal hotel gym - actually prefer this, loved to watch the kids play basketball ...

A great stay. Recommend!!
Doubletree at Washington St. in Boston is a great place to stay. Location is good close to Chinatown and walking distance to historical center of Boston. Hotel is clean, staff very friendly, ar conditioning working fine. Room is clean, large and comfortable. Nice blackout drappers! I recommend this hotel for family trip.

Good location and amenities
I recently stayed at the Doubletree for a week while attending a conference at the BCEC. The hotel has a great located, right next to the Tuft Medical Centre subway stop, and very close walking/transit to all the major attractions in the city. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the lady who cleaned our room every day was always pleasant and making sure we had everything we needed. Our room was a decent size, with a good coffee maker and comfy beds. I requested a mini-fridge for medications, and this was ready in the room when we arrived. The shower was always hot, and our room on the 5th floor was quiet other than the occasional ambulance. The best part? A Starbucks attached to the main lobby and a great gym at the YMCA next door for hotel guests to use. We were lucky that we had a coupon for wireless, otherwise their daily rates were absurd. I agree with the other reviewers that the hotel needs some updating and repair, but all in all we had a good stay and I would come back here again if we could get the same preferred rate and complementary wireless internet.
