A really great place to stay in central London
We have visited London a LOT, and believe that it's good to stay near the sites you want to visit. If you want to see The Tower, Tower Bridge, The Globe, St. Paul's, Museum of London, the Grange City Hotel is a great place to stay. Our room's view took our breath away: the chanticleer from the British Maritime Association, followed by the Tower of London and then London Bridge. As if that's not enough, the hotel is on the old Roman wall. Multiple tube stations are close by. The hotel quality is commensurate with the views and total experience. We highly recommend it!

Pleasant Hotel
My wife and I stayed for one night, quite a queue for check in although when it got to our turn it was dealt with swiftly and efficiently, we did ask for 2 key cards for the room but when we got to the room we found he had only given us 1 key card. On entering the room the heat of it was unbearable I tried to put the air-con on but it hardly made a difference, but stupidly i didnt report it, therefore our time in the room was quite uncomfortable. Apart from that the room was very nice, well stocked with tea's, coffee's etc and the toiletries were plentifull and luxurious ( which my wife took a shine to ). I had emailed in advance asking for a room with a view of the tower unfortunately we got a room of overlooking the rail track, this didnt bother us too much.We chose this hotel for its location as we were attending the vintage wine festival in old billingsgate which is a 5 min walk away.

Wonderful!
In an amazing position with views over the Tower of London, we had a fabulous room with a balcony. Staff so pleasant and helpful. We had a wonderful stay, we would definitely stay again. Just around the corner is a lovely original Italian coffee house - fab.Thank you.

Large rooms, pleasant service
I stayed at the Grage City London hotel for one night while down in London on business. Checking in at 8pm after a long day at work was easy and pleasant, and my room on the 2nd floor was large, clean and very comfortable. Although my room window was around 50 yards from an overground train line I heard no noise during the night. Room service was delivered within 20 minutes and was delicious and reasonably priced from a modest menu. Free wi-fi was a nice bonus, and the satellite tv channels included Sky Sports - a rare treat! Checkout was handled with minimum fuss and all staff I met throughout my short stay were very courteous and professional.The hotel was in a fantastic location - 3 minutes walk from Tower Gateway DLR station and minutes from both Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.I have stayed at a number of hotels during business trips to London and the Grange City is - so far- the best. I'd put it just above the Crowne Plaza.

Everything you need for a city break
Stayed for a long weekend it is idealy situated opposite Tower of London next to tube station a couple of reasonably priced eateries walking distance.Long queue at check inn on of the check in staff chose to ignore us we were passed over for wealthy looking clients. We were wearing trainers and carrying rucksacks we knew that we would be doing a lot of walking and preferred comfort. Eventually a nice male receptionist took pity on us and checked us in to an upgraded room with view of the Tower and Bridge.The room had 2 kingsize beds, sofa seating area,good size bathroom and tea/coffee facilities.Swimming pool large with lanes so more for adults really although children not discouraged. As usual rooms too hot and airconditioner too noisy but that maybe just me.
