Excellent hotel
Reasons why I like this place:1. Location is great2. Rooms aren't big, but very well appointed and comfortable3. Excellent view from about the 6th floor or higher4. Very comfortable bed5. Quiet rooms, couldn't hear noise of other guests6. Competitively pricedI would recommend saying here as it is a great option. I didn't visit the restaurant or bar so I cannot comment on that. The overall experience was excellent.

Wonderful
As with most JW's, this one is amazing. The room was very clean, the location is great, and the atmosphere is wonderful. The bathroom was a bit small but that is my only complaint. The concierge was very helpful in helping navigate the town and it is an easy walk to Times Square.

It's all in the location
We settled for this hotel as we liked the idea of being next to Central Park. Out the front door across 59th street and you're in the park-awesome. The area has everything you need, places to eat, shop, local deli and coffee shops etc. However it is removed from the hustle and bussel of Times Square yet just 20 min walk away.In fact it's pretty central to most places. I agree with other reviewers in that the room we stayed in was a little tired. We stayed in a suite which was a good size and the bed was really comfy. Best 5 nights sleep I've had for a long time. However for what we paid we did expect a room of a higher standard. Staff were great and the concierge were outstanding-couldnt do enough for us.Would stay here again.

STUNNING HOTEL.
Just returned from 5 days at this hotel. Cannot fault it anywhere.Amazing location on Central Park, staff polite courteous, respectful, helpful at all times day or night.Rooms kept spotless as are the lobbys,public areas.Great Concierge team, Bell boys....Cant wait to go back again.(been to New York 3 times in 5 years and this Hotel is the best we have stayed in.)Cannot go wrong.Yes its not cheap but its certainly worth its rating and stars.

Mixed Experience
The location is great we were their for my nieces graduation from medical school at Carnegie Hall. We are Marriott platinum members on points. Usually we get an ungraded room, we did not get one. Our view was an alley. The room was quiet and we slept very well. The lights come on by themselves but had a time turning them off. Management or the bell staff needs to explain the lights. We had free wifi that worked well. The doorman was ignorant and left our cab trunk open. It has a feel that no one is in control. Granted it was a sold out hotel when we were there. They did give us our extra points. Like I said it is a mixed bag.
