Mixed review
I experienced very good and professional service from some staff members, but not so good from others. The rooms seem a little worn. The bed and pillows weren't up to the "heavenly" standards Westin usually offers. It is in a convenient location for Waltham area business, but I will probably try a different hotel on my next trip. The $15 self parking charge seemed steep given the location, but it might be worth it in the winter time if it is snowing.

Friendly Staff and Comfortable Room
While on a business trip, I stayed at the Westin Waltham-Boston for nearly a week. The staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful even when there were miscommunications regarding the hotel's shuttle service. Moreover, even though I arrived well before check-in time, the check-in receptionist was able to get me into a room immediately and arrange for a taxi immediately. The room was nice, but needed some maintenance. For instance, one of the lamps was out and the carpet in a corner of the room was ripped up from the wall. That said, the bed was very comfortable with great linens. I didn't have a problem with noise as others have mentioned, but I did notice that the areas near the elevators were noisier in general. As a heads up, because there is a minibar and snacks for purchase in the room, there is no other vending options in the hotel other than to get room service or go to the bar/restaurant, which is a bit overpriced. Overall, the room rental rate was quite high for what you are getting, but this is in a good location for local businesses with a great indoor pool.

Best Westin I've stayed at. Solid 4 star
I've stayed Westin numerous times. I usually look for 4 star stays. Some Westins have fallen under that. Westin Waltham-Boston is definitely a solid 4 star.Actually got caught in a winter storm while staying here, so we had to walk to the detached garage every time we went any where.Facility is nice. Lobby is modern and is a pleasant welcome back after every excursion. Staff are very friendly. Rooms are clean.Good stay.

Dubious Bar
Westin Waltham is a standard Westin hotel. The parking is annoying because they charge $15 per day for parking even though the hotel is surrounded by empty parking lots. That didn't bother me as much as ordering and paying for top shelf vodka at the hotel bar and getting putrid low quality booze instead. This happened twice. They seem to think customers won't notice. Most won't complain out loud, but yes, customers notice how you cheat them.

Noisy. Overpriced amenities.
$15 for parking? Really? Garage is a pretty good extra 10 minutes added to your trip. Small spaces in covered garage, detached from hotel. Internet extra. Room service over priced...even for a Westin. $32 for a burger and fries? Hotel is LOUD. Atrium open to guest room hall and lounge below. Noise is double-digit to your door. Highway right outside. If you're coming for a quick overnight business trip it's ok in a pinch. Probably won't choose this one again. Too many "little things" that bugged me.
