Great location,good value
I stayed in this hotel last weekend for two nights with two friends. The triple room was clean and the beds so comfortable - best nights sleep I've had in ages! Great shower too. The hotel is in a quiet street and great location for the Apollo Theatre and Victoria Station. Breakfast was ok and yes there is no lift but we didn't mind this it is a budget hotel! The staff were very friendly and helpful particularly when my friend left an item of clothing behind and they were kind enough to post it out to her. All in all good value budget accomodation in a great location and would stay again.

Ticked all the boxes.
I stayed here with two friends for a girls weekend away. It was perfect for our needs. Most importantly the location was ideal (5 min walk to Victoria tube station). It's in a quite area, we didn't hear much noise from outside or from the other rooms. It was extremely affordable, and had all the facilities we needed (en-suite bathroom, TV, tea and coffee, hairdryer, etc). The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in, better than my own! The continental breakfast was basic but sufficient and the room was clean. We were on the third floor, so quite a lot of stairs, maybe request the ground or first floor if mobility is an issue, as there's no lift. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I left a dress behind and was on a train to Liverpool before I'd realised. I called the reception staff and they were very helpful. They went to look for the dress, called me straight back when they'd found it and agreed to post it back to me, which they did promptly. Would definitely stay here again.

Poor accommodation
You can't expect much from cheap hotels but at least a few things should be granted:1. hotels shouldn't have rooms in the basement (I was rather pissed off);2. you should be able to shut the bathroom's door easily (not only when you are outside the bathroom);2. you are not supposed to hear the guy turning in the bed in the room above yours (I was able to sleep when he/she fell asleep);3. The TV should work (I tried to move the cable behind it, but discovered that it had been plugged to the TV with some sort of white stucco that came off as soon as I touched it)4. Your room shouldn't be adjacent to the breakfast room (especially if you like to sleep a bit longer in the morning);The only good point of this hotel is the location and the sleep quality (before 7.30am), but it's definitely not worth the price.

Disappointing
We stayed at the Airways Hotel in Victoria during midweek in May 2013 and were very disappointed. Visiting due to a special occasion at the Palace, we found this hotel and thought it would be a clean, cheap place to spend our time in the city. Not expecting 5* accommodation, just somewhere comfortable. However, apart from a comfy bed, there is no much going for this hotel and in our opinion, vast improvement is needed. We checked in at 9.30pm after arriving on the train. Greeted by a quite stern man on reception, definitely not service with a smile. We had booked a double room, but were given a 'family' room on the first floor. In other words, 4 beds crammed into the room with no space to walk around. Fine for a stag do - but not for a couple who had booked a double room. Things turned from bad to worse when opening the curtains. Directly outside our window was scaffolding, holding two old coffee cups and a bucket. One of the panels of glass in the window was boarded up also. The 'complimentary' refreshments remained untouched as were not particularly appealing. We spent an hour watching TV although this was hanging off the wall! In the shower room, the toilet had not been properly cleaned which was disgusting. The shower was ok, however the sink clearly needs unblocking and the water barely runs down. Whilst on hygiene, some of the towels and bed covers don't need washing, they need throwing out (various interesting stains). To be fair, the chamber maid staff were very pleasant. She greeted us on our return to our room and was the first member if staff I had seen smile since we arrived. Breakfast in the morning was abysmal, two stale croissants and coffee out of a machine sat in a depressing canteen style room. To conclude, sadly, we booked two nights and only stayed one. We learnt that if you want a cheap place to stay, don't stay here and it is worth paying an extra few quid a night to stay at a Premier Inn or something.

Don't expect a lot
Only choose this hotel to sleep. Beds are Ok, and no noises at night. But thats it. Room LG1 is in the damped basement. Mold everywhere you look. Your hoteltowel is bigger then the 'bathroom' ! Here also mold mold mold.9 pound for breakfast is ashamingly much. Chewy 'croissants' , cheap ham or cheese or jelly is set in a corner with no space to turn yourself back to your seat. The breakfastroom is crowded and to small and noisy. Tip: take whatever you need, take it to your molded room to eat, and go get some decent food at Victoria station. Wifi is only available at the reception desk.Because of the mold and bad cleaning, this hotel scores a 4 out of 10. Good luck!
