Renovation Review
As a business traveler this hotel is convenient, so I was pleased on check in to be told I would be on one of their newly renovated floors. Basically the room was comfortable, but they should have gone the extra step and renovated the bathroom as well. Very small, no shelves to place items on, even the hairdryer did not have it's own dock. No new paint on the bathroom door. The restaurant continues to have a very basic choice, and the service was not what I would expect from a Sheraton. I really feel I will not check in this hotel again on my next trip to Newark. Very disappointed to see outside the front door where all the smokers hang out, not a nice impression when checking in, that the trash container was overflowing also. No sign of anyone to assist with luggage if I needed it.

Horrible Stay used to Love this Place NOT anymore May 30-June 2 2013
Prepaid thur priceline, they over charged my credit card on my prepaid stayed, big fights to get paymenbt back finially called my credit card and they are going after hotel now, room wasn't up to par when checked in, lost one of our suitcase, unfriendly staff, untrustworth staff found one of our charges not where we had left it hinded under the night stand. List can go on and on. I have stayed here over 5 times in the last 9 months l have stayed here 3 times, fisrt time l book thur priceline, and nothing but problems with the hotel,

Convenient hotel
Since we didn't get room in NYC we stayed at Sheraton. Location is good not too far from Lincoln tunnel. The hotel runs a shuttle to nearby station and malls. You need to ensure you are there much before the shuttle leaves since its a small coach and usually quite busy. It's an old hotel hence the rooms aren't fresh but clean. Nice view of the NYC skyline from rooms. Overall efficient service at front desk and restaurants.

Good NYC alternative
Stayed here recently when my usual NYC hotel was unavailable. Good location across from the Meadowlands and good shuttle service to NYC train. Rooms are good and the corner room I had was exceptional. The gym is fully functional and the restaurant is fine. The Link lounge and Starbucks are nice value adds. Lovely folks at the front desk.The only word of caution is for those driving and unfamiliar with the area. Traffic nightmares are all around. Check with the staff for directions before venturing out.

Nice stay
Stayed at the hotel for two nights in May. The good:- employees were polite and helpful- nice rooms and beds were very comfortable (heard that another recieved a room with wall papers peeling but they were then given another room)- didn't have to wait to use the computers available in the lobby- free parking- free shuttle to Secaucus train stationThe bad:- there was not a designated area to line up for the shuttle to the Secaucus train station, therefore a lot of people who shouldn't have been at the front just made their way through when it was time to go (a simple resolution is just to have a designated line up area at the front)
