Ideal - reasonable price and very welcoming
I choose this hotel solely on its location - near a client HQ. The hotel is about 10 minute walk from the tram at Hollinswood and right next to a Morrisons. The Club room was not fancy but very clean and well appointed. Not a lot of toiletries which wasnt a surprise. I had a salad in the garden as it was a warm evening - it was good and service was good too.Breakfast (included in the rate on laterooms) was very good. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel as it is very good value for money. Staff are all first class.

Such a pleasant stay!
Me and my boyfriend stayed on June 1st, as we were seeing Muse that evening, and this hotel was one of the lower priced hotels we found. At both check in and check out, the staff were friendly, talkative and really made you feel welcome. The room was a good size and very spacious, and the beds were extremely comfy! I was glad to find a bath and not just a shower in the bathroom as well. It was also a good size.When we initially booked, we didn't add breakfast, and it was simply to book and pay for it the following morning. Our server in the dining room was nice and friendly.I work in a hotel myself. It's 4* but didn't compare to this hotel. It was tidy an clean, with friendly staff and was just a nice experience overall.My only issues would be:When I booked the room, I was told we were to pay on checkout, but we ended up paying when we checked in, which confused me a little, but no biggy :)The tea and coffee facilities in the room were put inside the wardrobe, which we weren't going to use because we were only there for one night. So we didn't know where they were until we left this morning, when my boyfriend starting noseying around the room,Great night, with a great hotel. Just a shame the taxi prices are extortionate! A 5 mile journey cost us nearly ¿¿20, whereas from where we are from, it would have cost ¿¿5. Only bad thing about the day!

Friendly staff made our stay
We recently stayed at the hotel for 1 night as stop over during our visit to Manchester. The staff were very helpful, going out of their way to provide a special service for the occassion of our stay. We decided to eat in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner to save us from further travelling as we were relatively tired. The food was very good quality and the portions were large. We felt that The Victoria Hotel was excellent value for money and could not fault the staff on their excellent, friendly attitude and willingness to help.

Comfortable night
I stayed at this hotel for 1 night, the staff were friendly and it was great value for money. The beds were comfortable, the only thing I found was that the shower was far too hot and would not turn down and you could hear other peoples conversations in other rooms. I did enjoy my stay though, there is a supermarket just down the road if you need anything, ideal location.

Afternoon tea
My wife and I had afternoon tea here. The restaurant was clean and the sandwiches and cakes were great. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Only criticism - the service was a bit slow. It took a good ten minutes to get a cup of tea. But once the food and drinks did arrive, I had nothing but good things to say. Would visit again.
