Great Hotel
i stayed for 9 nights and could not have been more pleased. I had a standard single room and even though there was outside noise (tourists walking from the Trevi Fountain to the Pantheon) it was a comfortable room and the amenities were very nice, especially the breakfast. The terrace at night was lovely and the location was perfect. As a single female I felt safe and the desk staff was always friendly to me.

Nice hotel in a great location
Stayed for two nights in May. Great location -- and as a solo senior female traveler, I felt safe. Room 26 was small but quiet and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was excellent, especially the pastries, and the rooftop terrace was lovely. Staff was professional but not really friendly. Limo service to the airport was prompt and a good value. Would definitely stay here again.

Superb location and service
Our recent stay in Albergo Cesari was excellent. The location is unbeatable. The Pantheon is a few minutes walk away as is the Trevi Fountain. We decided to stay in the Centro Storico after some research and think it is the best decision for anyone visiting Rome. This location means that you can walk to any of the historical sights. We only got a taxi once when we needed to get to Trastevere station. The hotel is close to Via dei Pastini where there are some wonderful restaurants. I would highly recommend Pietro Al Pantheon. The room in the hotel was spotless and large. Our room overlooked the street but you are in Rome so the street noise only enhances your experience! The roof terrace in the hotel is fabulous but unfortunately due to rain we could nt have our breakfast outside. Another reason to stay in this hotel is Tomasso.. He was amazing with his help. His restaurant recommendation was incredible. I ll keep the name of the restaurant a secret.. Go to Albergo and Tomasso will let you in on the secret!

Good location for first time visitors to Rome
This hotel is in an excellent location, just a short walk from the Pantheon in one direction, and the Trevi Fountain in another direction. Be aware though, that with this location in the centre of the historical district comes nearby restaurants that cater to tourists (e.g. pizza topped with French fries), high prices, noisy rooms, and people everywhere. My husband and I were travelling with a party of 8, so we were able to see a few of the rooms in the hotel. Our room was #46 (fourth floor). The room was very noisy, and the air conditioning did not work fully while we were there; just the fan worked. Also, when we closed the bathroom door to block out the noise, the door rattled when the fan was on. This is a corner room that faces the shops and restaurants below on one side, and a piazza on the other side. The room itself is very spacious, with a small sitting area beside the bed, a minibar fridge, and a small bathroom in the suite (shower only). The room had a large armoire for storing clothes, but I had to ask my husband to hang things up and retrieve them for me because the hanging rod was out of my reach (I am 5'3"). This room also has a musty smell to it that did not exist in other rooms we we in. My understanding, from others in our party who have stayed in Rome before, is that our room was quite spacious by Rome standards. My only other comment about the room itself is that the bed frame squeaked and should be replaced.Room numbers are not indicative of the floors they are located on. For example, room #29 is on the third floor. This is due to a network of small staircases (5 steps here, 4 steps there) that create somewhat of a maze. Room 29 has a similar layout to Room 46, but the bathroom is larger, and the room is a bit quieter because it is on the corner of the main road with the shops and restaurants and a smaller alleyway (versus the piazza that Room 46 is on).Room 27 is a smaller room with two twin beds and a reasonably sized bathroom. The rooftop terrace has a nice view, and is lovely to sit at for an evening cocktail, which our group did the first night we were there. However, drinks are approximately 3 times as expensive here as at the many restaurants at street level. The front desk staff are very friendly. The lobby area is very small, with a couple of couches, chairs, and one Internet computer. A bathroom is also located in the lobby area, which is particularly nice if you are walking in the local neighborhood and need to run inside and use the bathroom without going up to your room. An elevator is located in between the front desk and the seating area. When you leave the hotel, you leave your key at the front desk, and retrieve it when you return.Breakfast at the hotel is small but adequate. Selection includes bread, cold cuts, pastries, cheese, yogurt, fruit, cereal, juice, milk, coffee. The chairs and tables inside are somewhat uncomfortable, primarily because the chairs are so low to the ground. If the weather cooperates, you can eat outside on the rooftop terrace. Dinner is not served at this hotel. While not related to the hotel itself, if you plan to travel to Rome in April you should be aware that April 25 is Liberation Day. Italians get the day off work, and many make an extra long weekend out if it. This means even more people than usual, as well as more singing, dancing and general partying in the streets (and in particular in piazzas) than typical. This is a nice hotel in an excellent area that is particularly well suited to visitors who are in Rome for the first time. If we return to Rome though, we will stay elsewhere.

A Hidden Jewel
Tucked away in a quiet street between the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain this slightly dated, small 3 star hotel as some endearing qualities. Firstly, the location is outstanding and within easy walking distance of many of Rome's key attractions. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful and the roof terrace is a real hidden gem. It provides an excellent space to chill out during the day - turns in to a great indoor/outdoor bar in the evening and serves an excellent breakfast every morning. We were at the end of a week's walking holiday and relaxing in the bar late into the evening was a real treat. The breakfast in the morning was well above the normal standards for a 3 star hotel. OK the rooms are quite small and dated but this is the very centre of Rome and spending too much time in your room is such a waste in this great city.
