4 Day break in Dubai
Stayed towards the end of April and had a great time in this hotel. Our room had amazing view of city and the creek. The bed was kingsize and extremely comfortable. All staff were very helpful and professional. Enjoyed the pool area which got the sun until mid afternoon. The revolving restaurant looked amazing. Breakfast was varied and relaxed. Really enjoyed the golf in the small but beautiful golf course. The adjacent mall has a great ice rink, shops, bank, supermarket, food outlet and bar. The hotel is close to the gold souk and not too far from the other souks. The hotel were able to arrange a roll a way bed in our room for our daughter who came to stay for 1 night

Great hotel
Great hotel we enjoyed every minute in Dubai and the hotel is in a great location for what we wanted. It is located in the old part of Dubai but it is in easy reach of the city by metro or taxi. The room was big and great views of the city. Only fault I would say that the planes do fly over the hotel so could annoy some people that was trying to get some piece around the pool.

Value for Money
This was the first 5 star hotel in Dubai, the second one was the Sheraton at the Creek. The Hyatt opened in 1980 and has remarkably retained staff from the beginning. Must be good management and you can really feel it throughout the property. People want to make you stay memorableLocation not really in the center anymore, but still doable and they have usually good competitive rates. The hotel is 33 years old and unfortunately you can see it here and there. Rooms are small but functional. Gym has a good size, the pool is a bit of a joke. One last thing, in a strange Hyatt tradition (same as Singapore and Bangkok) they have a "interesting" bar/club that caters to single male business travelers.

Good trip under the circumstances
Went to the Hyatt for half term having stayed in the Regency Club in other Hyatts. Hotel limo driver missed us at the airport due to our horrible delay at passport control, but the other drivers still at the airport rang him and he he did come back for us. Hotel as you would expect smart and city our club suite all polished wood and soft beds very nice and spacious the club room are on the top floors and you have tousle the room card to get to the regency club floor be quick or you will not get the button pressed in time!Staff in the regency club were very helpful and the service was very good and kindly. Our 15 year old went down with tonsillitis as we arrived and was really poorly, housekeeping and room service worked around us coming late into the day when he was up for a couple of hours. Only negative was the barbecue on Friday night which was a little chaotic we had a friend come visit and we never knew whether we actually got whet we had chosen but what we did have was nice. We didn't get to leave the hotel and chased the sun about going from the pool to the sun deck where the shower was a good idea so you could shower when hot. There is a phone to ring for drinks although service at the pool bar was a little hit and miss it was mostly good humoured.There is a small mall attached to the hotel you wouldn't do much shopping there but it does have a pharmacy and they were very helpful. I would go back it was good value we have been to Dubai before but this was the best value for the money.

It's people that make places special!!
From day one when i got out of my taxi to the fifth day when i boarded my taxi to the airport i was made to feel special at the HR Dubai. The staff in every department of the hotel were kind, helpful, friendly & caring. Yes, i agree it may not be the best location & there are other hotels more strategically located, but to find a first class supreme team like these guys is not easy. Rooms were complete with all amenities one could wish for whether on a biz trip or holiday. Bedding was high quality & for saying we were close to the airport, the double glazing seemed to do its job as there was no noise from departing aircraft. Concierge staff were not only helpful but happy & natural. Jemimah from Kenya will go far in the service industry. A lovely girl. Also the bell boy called Shasa (wrong spelling) from Nepal. This is just 2 names from a big bunch that were so genuine & helpful. Without doubt, i would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Dubai. If i return to Dubai, the HR will be my choice destination once again.
