Amazing hotel and location
All I can say is this hotel provided a VIP experience for us from check in to check out. we were able to check in immediately. The room was really nice, clean, bright and had extremely comfortable beds. The staff in this hotel are always smiling and I cannot commend all its staff for the help they provided us with. The room cleaners couldn't be faulted. They even come around to your room in the evenings to check do you need any more towels etc. The bar staff in both bars especially leo in the main bar are extremely professional and and friendly. The front desk staff and concierge are a credit to the hotel you know staright away you are in good hands walking into this hotel. Its location is perfect it is only a couple of minutes away from central station and the main attractions of central amsterdam. Also the breakfasts provided every morning by the hotel is out of this world. This hotel was worth every penny. And if I ever go back to Amsterdam I would definitely stay here without a doubt

Great Service and Terrific Location
The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is a relatively small property located very close to the train station and all of central Amsterdam. The accommodations were very clean and spacious and the housekeeping was excellent. The concierge was very helpful, recommending restaurants, arranging for tours, and helping find our way. The restaurant and bar were great, particularly the breakfast buffet. Amsterdam has many hotel choices, but the size, location, and service at the Renaissance makes it a top choice.

Great Location and value
We stayed 2 nights at the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel in June. The hotel from the outside looks like an old building but once inside, all that changes with a shiny, clean, and modern look, worthy of its 5 star rating. The staff were efficient and polite. The room was clean and comfortable and certainly was everything we needed, since we had planned 2 full days of sightseeing anyway. However, I did feel the room was a little small for a 5 star and the bathroom worked quite well but was starting to look a little tired. Our room overlooked the main street and was a little loud but I am sure that is the case in most Amsterdam city hotels. The location is outstanding and loving to walk, it provided us with easy access to all attractions. From the train station it is literally a 5 minute easy walk to the hotel. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. A small problem arose when returning from a full day of sightseeing, we had a message that our credit card was not on file and that we were to come to the front desk and correct this. I phoned them and explained that we would look after it tomorrow on check out and that I had given them my card when we checked in. Five minutes later we had a knock at the door asking us to come to the front desk and fix this. Funny thing is the room was already paid for and the charge they were concerned about was a $5.71 city tax charge! Anyway we went to bed and looked after the $5.71 in the morning. Just a small thing but was not needed.

Excellent location, service, and very modern
We wanted a really nice comfortable place to stay our last two nights in Amsterdam after a 16 total day trip across Europe. This really hit the spot. Extremely modern, very well appointed in the lobby , restaurant / bar area, and rooms. It is a bit pricey but overall we felt it was worth it. The rooms are very high-end, comparable to high-end Marriott in USA. Huge king bed, big flat screen TV, very nice bathroom, etc. The restaurant and bar area downstairs is huge, very nicely done, and has live music and DJs on various nights of the week. The front desk team was very helpful and everyone we encountered was friendly. The only drawback, as others have noted, is the WiFi. It is free in the lobby but even that can be very slow or difficult to connect to if many others are on it. And to pay $8eu per night for WiFi in your room, when you are paying several hundred dollars for the room already, is pretty tacky. I would drop half a star if I could for that. We stayed in some hostels that even had free WiFi. Otherwise this was a highlight place to stay and well recommended. The location cannot be beat - we rolled our luggage to and from the train station when we checked in and out, it is not that far. It is also close to a major corner and water bridge, so overall a good location to walking about.

Great location
We stayed for two nights and I was happy with the choice. Hotel is situated close to the train station and all major attractions. Service was friendly although very busy and room was clean and modern although very small. There is complimentary wi-fi in the lobby but 7.95 euro's in the room.
