A gem on Via Veneto
Hotel Alexandra was a wonderful base to explore Rome . We had the metro closeby but really could walk to most tourist spots. The room was light, clean and spacious: much appreciated after other experiences on our European adventure. The hotel staff were all helpful and the restaurant was a great find: beautiful pasta!

Great Location at great price
The hotel is located on the lovely Via Venetto. Within minutes of walking to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain and many other sites....Buffet breakfast is fine...Hotel staff is very attentive and polite. The rooms are small and air condtioning was iffy....but you can't have everything.

Above average, Alexandra
The location of hotel Alexandra is great--right among many hotels along Via Veneto, which is away from the daily hustle and bustle. Many restaurants are right outside its doors, and it is an easy walk to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and other sites.The room was large and the furnishings were nice. The towel warmer kept the room too hot, and the air container didn't work, so we had to keep the window open--and it was very loud at night--with street sweepers, late-night-party people, etc., so we didn't sleep well.

Excellent Overnight Stay in Rome - Solo Female Traveler
I am a student studying in Italy and I took a 2 day trip to Rome with an overnight stay in Hotel Alexandra. It was a great location, great hotel and the staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was included and it was a good selection. There was also free wireless internet which was another plus. I didn't check in until after 6pm and the front desk said they could give me an upgrade (free of charge!) because I was only staying one night and because they had the availability. Also, as a young female traveling alone, the location was one block from the Barberini metro stop and 2 blocks from the stop for a handful of Tour Buses. There were always people around so I always felt safe. The fact that there was always someone at the front desk was also comforting.There was a restaurant right below the hotel and they provided a 10% discount for all hotel guests, which was a nice bonus too. Overall, I would definitely recommend Hotel Alexander to anyone.

Great location... staff very helpful and nice
The hotel's location was really good. Walking distance from spanish steps and trevi fountain. Also LOT of good restaurants around the area. One of the main shopping streets was also 15-20 mins walk from the hotel. The staff was really helpful. Our bags were stolen from the train, on our way to Rome from Venice. We reached the hotel without our luggage -- Antonello helped us with a mobile charger, where we'll get cloths to buy, etc. After we got back to India, he also helped us with an email for the insurance company.Only one negative point - One or Two of the nights we could hear some noises from other rooms while sleeping.
