Perfetto!
I rarely, if ever write a hotel review, but for this lovely hotel I must make an exception.We could not possibly have been happier with our choice of where to stay on the beautiful island of Capri - the Hotel Excelsior Parco is gem! An elegant Liberty style villa, now a charming boutique hotel ideally located between Marina Grande and the town of Capri.We had a beautiful, light and airy room with a terrace and lovely sea view that made me feel as if I was floating on the blue skies of Capri. We slept well in a comfortable bed under silky smooth linens. The bath was lovely with its iridescent blue tiles and waterfall shower, like stepping into the sea.Upon arrival we were picked up by Andreas, the hotel driver, who will happily chauffeur you to and from the town center throughout the day to evening. At the hotel we were greeted by Valerio, who made us feel most welcome with a glass of sparkling wine on the roof top; and Viviana who genuinely desired to share the best of Capri with us and gave us wonderful suggestions of thing to do and see, where to eat, shop etc. . The service and wait staff are some of most pleasant and willing to please we have ever met. They will happily bring breakfast or drinks to your room or serve your in the garden or dining room as you choose. Service is key here and all your requests are handled with effortless grace.The natural beauty of Capri makes a visit to the island well worth it, but for us our visit was made all the more lovely by the place we chose to stay and the the people there who acted as our hosts - always gracious, never once making us feel pressured or a bother to them. From the moment we arrived to the final seconds of our stay the atmosphere of understated elegance, the meticulous attention to the smallest details - like fresh orchids in the rooms, the waft of citrus blossoms in the air - combined with the friendly and attentive staff made Excelsior Pacro pure perfection!To all of you at the Excelsior Parco thank you so very much for you kind service and a most memorable stay, we truly long to return!To those who read this, you will not be disappointed by choosing to stay here . . .

Wonderful!
We stayed at the Hotel Excelsior Parco to celebrate my fiance's birthday and our recent engagement. The service was incredible and everything was absolutely perfect. Our room wasn't quite ready when we arrived (pretty early) so we were relaxing on the rooftop when two men brought up two trays of sweets and a small cake with a candle singing happy birthday. It was a fun celebration:) Thank you!

Par Excellence
We leisure travel extensively around the world, and price is no bar when choosing where to stay. However, we prefer places with character that add to the memories, as opposed to indifferent chain-style hotels. We spend our time outside the hotel, but like to have a comfortable place to stay.The staff here are among the warmest and most helpful we've ever met; from Andreas, the thorough gentleman who is your chauffeur (and the first person you meet), to the lovely, charming Viviana, whose smile can light up a rainy Capri day (the complimentary bottle of sparkling wine she provided on our second day also helped!). Roshan, Chamin (spelling?) and the other staff are also amazing! Warm smiles, unobtrusive and always ready to help.To address other reviewers experiences:1. We never had to wait more than 10 minutes for the car that we used during our stay (during this time, Viviana helped us with things to do and offered us something to drink).2. There was no 'hard selling' of tours or trips, in fact the restaurants & bars suggested were excellent, and the hotel doesn't make any commission off those recommendations. 3. The room was always very clean which is something we're very particular about.Stay here. Make sure you get one of the upper level rooms as other travelers have suggested, and you'll have a wonderful time. If we could have, we'd have extended our stay. Can't say more than that.

Introverts beware!
As I write this, I must qualify it and am aware that some of the things I found negative, many will find positive. On arriving at the hotel, the staff stands on the porch and greets you and shakes your hand and then ushers you in to a front desk. We arrived at the same time as another couple who was put in the lounge area while we sat at a desk in the entryway. The greeter, who I see has received many positive remarks, started talking very fast and very loud and plopped a drink and a plate of cookies in front of us all while talking a mile a minute about activities on the island, "or you can do this, or you can hire a boat for 145 euros, or you can walk over here, or you can walk over there, or you can...¿¿¿ Now this may work for some people, however, for myself, whom I would describe as more introverted this was all too much, too fast. I like cookies, I like drinks and I like looking at maps but I also like to have a second to breathe and get a feel for where I am before an onslaught of information. Generally the staff was a little intrusive for my tastes, the waiters in the breakfast room were always trying to grab my plate when I hadn't finished. Of course saying "no" worked but all in all I prefer a more relaxed hotel/dining experience. The hotel itself is attractive and clean. We had the funny little two-story room with a very low ceiling (under 6") and windows with no view except of a football, which I believe has been there awhile, as I saw it mentioned in another review. I also saw another reviewer mention that he had a fear of falling down the stairs in the middle of the night, which may be a legitimate fear. I would make sure if you are very tall, or phobic about steep stairs at night to ask for another room. A nice touch for the hotel is that they offer room service although I think they may want to invest in a rolling dining table of sorts so there is somewhere to eat the meal other than on top of the bed or propped on a chair. One thing that can be said about this hotel is my travel companion and I will never forget it!

Great position and wonderful staff
The hotel is good and well placed, the staff are amazing and the island is beautiful. Most people seem to stay in mainland Italy and go to Capri for a day visit. Don't do it! Capri is a wonderful island. We went for my 50th Birthday and were a group of French and English from 9 years old to 50 and we all loved it, which is pretty hard to do!. They drive you around, advise on trips and restaurants and even got us a private boat to go around the island. Can't wait to go back!!
