Pleasant stay!
We had a very pleasant stay. The facilities were good and the whole place was very clean. The breakfast had many choices. There was one member of the bar staff who liked to have a whinge, however this did not put us off our stay,

Short Stay weekend
We enjoyed our short break at The Cambridge Belfry. Friendly staff, very clean rooms and bathrooms. Excellent cooked breakfast, great gym and pool. The location for central Cambridge and the park and ride is ideal with easy access to Duxford, Wimpole Hall and other attractions.

Bank holiday visit
Both my husband and myself also our small dog stayed at The Cambridge Belfry Hotel over the start of May bank holiday. We found the hotel very clean, comfortable and well furnished. We stayed in one of the superior double rooms which was very lovely we had a lounge area complete with an allocated place with a dining table and chairs for eating. In the next room was the bedroom which was spacious and housed the second tv. The bathroom had a separate shower cubicle rather than over the bath like u usually find also two wash basins. The staff were very helpful, friendly and extremely professional like one of the guests accidentally put a serving spoon back in the bowl of fruit at breakfast and it slid into the fruit covering the handle the member of staff immediately picked up on this and got it replaced. We have both said that we would certainly go back and on returning home I have been looking as to where the qhotels are up and down the country and particularly interested in their hotel in Stratford Upon Avon. Would strongly recommend for anyone to stay at The Cambridge Belfry.

Not as expected.
Six of us stayed at the Cambridge Belfry in late April 2013. The greeting was friendly and efficient the hotel was clean and airy but the stay was let down by the experience in the restaurant. We ordered our meals and the waitress returned a short while later stating that they had run out of two of the meals that had been ordered from the menu. When the desert order was taken the waitress again returned stating that she was not being told what was happening and that she was very sorry but they had run out of some of the deserts. We were offered a complimentary bottle of house wine as compensation (probably worth about a pound per person) and we accepted as we do not normally complain. When the desserts arrived the four Cheese selections with Chutney arrived with only three Cheeses and no Chutney. At this point we were approached by the restaurant manager who apologized and ensured that the fourth cheeses were brought to our table but we still had to ask for the Chutney. When we stated that the service had been poor and asked why the order was not correct in the first place it was suggested that the complimentary bottle of wine was sufficient to redress the errors even though we were only commenting on the overall poor experience that we had. Needless to say we did not eat at the Hotel the following night. Apart from the experience in the restaurant I could not fault the rest of the service or the hotel.Finally, if you want a Hotel within easy reach of Cambridge this is not for you as it's a 1/2 hr bus ride away or a very expensive taxi (cab) ride away.

Excellent Hotel
We were a group of four female friends who stayed for the weekend of 26th to 28th April 2013 on a bed and breakfast [including dinner on first night] basis in two twin rooms. The rooms were of a very high standard including both a bath and a separate shower in the bathroom and was very clean and fresh. We ate both nights in the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the food. We found all the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The reception staff in particular were exceedingly helpful in giving us information, maps and directions of what to visit in Cambridge. The four of us also had a massage before breakfast on the Sunday morning which was lovely and relaxing. The only slight downside was breakfast on Sunday morning. It appears that everyone arrived at around the same time and the staff were really struggling to cope with the numbers, many of us were placed in the bar area to eat. Despite being rushed off their feet and not being able to replenish food quick enough, the staff were amazingly cheerful and clearly doing their best to cope. It was very convenient and easy to get into Cambridge by bus - I didn't need to use the car at all as there is a frequent bus service directly into Cambridge just across the road next to Morrisons.All in all, it was a very enjoyable stay and excellent value for money. We all commented on how friendly and efficient all the staff were. I would not hesitate to recommend it.
