Wanted to be near Universal Studios
Front desk staff were excellent to deal with. Fast check in and very professional. Was advised that the pool was not heated at this time and that the hot tub was not functioning and under repair. These things happen and I wont fault them as they had a back up plan where we could use the facilities of the Hilton (just a 2 min walk away). The room was average but clean. A tip for people is to park at the hotel, jump on the free shuttle to Universal and check in later. Parking was 18/day. Lots of great restaurants in the area if you have a car as the hotel is up the hill by Universal.

Perfect location for anyone wishing to visit the Universal Studios and Hollywood.
This place is right next door to Universal Studios, so it was perfect for our needs as this was one of our destinations. The hotel was clean and smelt wonderful every time we entered the lobby. The staff were extremely helpful with anything we needed. Their pool area was still undergoing renovations but the Hilton right next door was providing pool services at no charge. The only down sides were having to pay to park, I hate it! These places are already getting your money for overpriced items in the restaurants and gift shops, then they tack on another $20 a day to stay if you have a car.

Great place right by City Walk
We had a great time at this hotel. The proximity to city walk was great for us. We got a free club level room upgrade and loved the access to the club lounge for free continental breakfast and happy hour (no alcohol free of course). The room was excellent, bed very comfortable. As is typical for the area, the self parking was expensive at $18 a night. Yuck. I also wish we could have gotten complimentary internet, but I just used the data on my phone as a hotspot for my tablet. They've definitely got the feel of a business hotel in this regard. They were undergoing rennovations on their hot tub, so they gave us access to the pool and tub at the Hilton next door. I guess there was a shuttle to city walk, but the hours didn't run late enough for us, and we never ended up using it. The walk wasn't bad though. I would definitley stay here again. The staff was great and we were able to get a sweet rate so it made it a good value for us.

A Hit by Universal City!
Wonderful customer service as we arrived having been stuck on L.A. highways for a while. Greeted with complimentary bottled water. Also the suite was lovely and spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Options for tours at concierge desk and valet parking was excellent. Only a 5 minute walk to Universal CityWalk where restaurants and shopping abound! Sheraton does have a tram that will take you every 20 minutes or so. Our family loved this hotel!

Amazing
I have stayed at the Sheraton Universal many times over the past 5 or so years. Without doubt it is worth every penny. The restaurant is above average for a hotel. The concierge has got to be the most pleasant and helpful person I have ever met. The rooms are pretty large and are very clean. The staff is always willing to lend you a hand and stop and say "hi". It's within walking distance of Universal Studios and is close to plenty of restaurants and shops as well as the highway.
