Adequate and ignorant
As a paying guest you would think the owner would appreciate when people book. Although generally nice, there was a number of female staff and one male member in particular at reception who evidently failed the charm school examination. The stay was well worth the money and the location is ideal really, so we would return and book again. The breakfasts steal the show.If you want to be somewhere within easy reach of all the tourist parts of Berlin, and don't mind short trips on the really easy to use U-bahn and S-bahn, moderately basic rooms, typical rudeness of staff, and occasional hookers outside the hotel looking for trade, this is the place to be. Seriously, it's not bad, totally safe and the hookers don't bother you.Highly recommend paying the extra to be in a room at the back of the building rather than on the front...noisy road and U-bahn passing by.

What a brilliant hotel! central location easy to find and clean and freindly. breakfast was very good and at great times (from 6am) so if you want to eat early and go out you can.very close by (100 yards) there is a U-bahn that conects the whole of Berlin you can get to anywhere from here. Get a welcome card from the airport fror traval on all forms of trainsport but will also save you a small fortune going to museums and tourist atractions including site seeing bus/river tours. would defenatly recommend Berlin we found out so much history about it that we were not even aware off and we were only there for 4 days. Food in Berlin is brilliant big portions and very tasty but look around for where the germans eat as they are the best.

Three days in Berlin
I went to Berlin between April and May and I stayed in this hotel. It is simple to arrive with underground (U-Bahn + S-Bahn) from Zoologischer Garten station and five minutes by walk. If you want, it takes about 30 minutes by walk from Potsdamer Platz. In general from hotel, you arrive in Berlin centre with four-five underground stops. The hotel has excellent rooms (with bathroom, that is very important), internet free wi-fi, 24 hours check-in/out. If you want, you can have breakfast in the hotel (7¿¿¿): I advice it because there is "buffet" and you can eat what you want (I didn't usually have lunch because I ate too much with breakfast).

Location!!
First off my family drove 5 hr after booking our hotel on orbitz only to find out that they had no more rooms and they pushed us off on tho this hotel as they called it their sister hotel. The site calls this 3 stars but I beg to differ. The bathroom was small that I could barley move around . The beds are just mattresses on boxes!!! And the tv is a 19" LCD, which was broke. No fridge to keep anything cold, and the room we had was a upgrade to a family so we had 4 beds so that was the only good thing. But the location was great in the day, close to the train and other sites. But we arrived at night and WOW was it different. Street walkers everywhere, and with my two small children thus wasn't something to see. A couple of doors down is a gay area. So my recommendation is to ensure that hotel is 4 stars or better. If your traveling with no kids then cool but kids, this is definitely not the place to stay. As we won't be staying here for our 2-3nd nights in Berlin.

Convenient, affordable, but noisy
The hotel staff was extremely friendly. The rooms were comfortable but had no facilities except a hairdresser. The location was very convenient (right next to metro stop, and 15 minutes on foot away from an important shopping street). However, we had trouble sleeping at night due to the metro coming and going, and due to daily fights on the busy street under the hotel.
