Just got Back From Salou staying at the Sol Costa Daurada very nice modern hotel handy for the theme park and train sation both a short walk to the hotel.... the sea front about 10 mins walk as well ..All the hotel staff are very friendly the food is ok rooms ok cleaned every day I cant think of anything negative to say about this hotel for the price we paid ..

Hotel was well maintained and clean!Within walking distance to Port Aventura and the beach!!Just slightly disappointed with the food, was expecting more varierty and food repeated daily.Staff very friendly and helpful! Daily transport to and from beach and Port Aventura, but the in warm weather did not bother us and was easy to access! Highly recommended!

The Sol Costa Durada is in a quite location aprox 15 min walk to the resort centre and the beach. There is a regular mini train service that runs every few mins from outside the hotel, it cost ¿¿¿3.00 for a round trip which takes approx 1 hour or you can hop off at any stage during the trip also, these trains take you down to the centre also. The reception area of the hotel is big bright and spacious, the girls on the reception are very helpful some have not the best english but they will help with you regardless. The resturant is very big and bright serving a great selection of salads from their self service buffet, there is a selection of hot food each night with anything from beef stew, rabbit legs, paella, pasta with mushroom or tomatoe sauce, chips and boiled potatoes and some veg. There is also a seperate grill where the chef's prepare a fish and a meat each night, while we were there we did have steak, turkey steaks, tuna steaks, chicken fillets. Also there is a dessert buffet, with a selection of desserts and cakes as well as fresh fruit and icecream. My two fussy kids really enjoyed the selection and being able to see the choice infront of them. The food is not gourmet but you will defenatly not be hungry. Rosi in the Resturant is lovely and very helpful as are most of the staff in there. The childrens entertainment was very good, not a lot going on during the day but then it was very quite while we were there, at night time Elana made a huge effort to entertain the kids and my two loved the time she spent with them and still miss her. Also Tonin in the kingdom bar is excellent so helpful and great time for everyone. We had no hassle with the Noise levels at all and for two nights while we were there, there was 4 bus loads of French people that were staying and we had no problems with noise. The rooms are quite small for a family of 4 but clean and bright. Towels changed daily.

Sol Costa is perfectly located! Within a 15 minute walk to Port Aventura and the beach! Despite going during off peak season - April (which was wonderful in Port Aventura, very few people queing and got to go on the rides more than once, sometimes not even moving from our seats and riding again ha ha), there was still many transporting options if you didnt want to walk however, many arranged by the hotel also!Hotel staff were helpful and always happy to assist.. My only disappointment would be the hotel food. Even though it was edible and handled well by staff. Also a huge range to pick from, but was repeated everyday. We did opt for half board which was very good value for money. Just be prepared that its more or less the same variety everyday.Other than that, hotel was well maintained, modern and clean. Hotel has its own English pub too!! Beach is lovely and sandy! Too cold for a swim but lovely for a chill out day or even an evening stroll.. either way only a 15 minute walk. Fountains not far too.. Highly recommended for a long weekend!!!!!!

Returned to this hotel and found it was much the same as last years stay.Rooms are basic enough, but what more do you really need ... if the weathers great get out and about... if not use the hotels own facilities./Foodwise, Breakfast is a very good arrage of hams, cheeses, cereals and fruit with additional hot food od choices of eggs (fried, Omellets or hard boiled)Evening Dinner was a bit mixed - some night were good and other nights were excellent.
