Pleasant
Excellent location. A couple of minutes to a lovely clean beach and a ten minute walk to the shops. The food was fantastic- buffet breakfast and dinner catered for all dietary types so being a vegetarian wasn't a problem. A lunch time packed lunch was could be arranged with the staff the night before which is perfect if you are short on time. Breakfast and dinner were both buffets that had a large range of foods including Spanish and English. Hot and cold foods were available and there was no limit to how much you ate! The rooms were decent and clean although, slightly dated. However it was definitely value for money so I would go back again.

Pleasantly surprised
Was a bit perturbed to be greeted by water dripping through the chandelier into a bucket in reception- but these things happen and it was quickly fixed. On seeing my husband was using a mobility scooter we were immediately offered a larger room with disabled-friendly shower. Room was fairly basic but spotlessly clean, and plenty of toiletries and towels. Only criticism was that there was no hair drier or tea/coffee making facilities. There was a good overhead fan and in October this was fine, but in the hotter months we may have been glad of air con. Food was far better than we had expected (especially breakfast)- always a good selection, and cooked food was always piping hot, and everything regularly replenished. In the evening there was at least one "typically Spanish" dish available- there really was something for everyone. Wine and water was also plentiful and included but it would have been nice to have had coffee at the table after dinner rather than have to buy one later at the bar. No wi-fi in the rooms- and the designated area for this downstairs, although free, was certainly no hot-spot! Entertainment at night was music and dancing, probably more suited to older clientel but pleasant enough. We got no noise at night whatsoever. Staff in the dining room, bar and reception were really pleasant and friendly. Hotel is in a pleasant location, literally a couple of minutes from the sea (which you can see from the upper floors). It's quieter than Roses itself, which suited us, and the main town is a level 20 minutes walk along the bay front, though there are direct buses. Bars, supermarkets and restaurants are just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Don't expect the Ritz- but we thought it was really good value for money and would happily go back.

Good but could be better
We stayed for five days here, overall it was good, clean and very near to the beach. Food was ok but unimaginative and not that hot. Lots of package tourists, which is not bad as I was one of them and we have to stay somewhere. Within walking distance of the town if you are ok with walking, about 20mins. Entertainment at night which is good for dancing. Would stay again but could do better with the food.

Dated, overpriced and shabby
This is without a doubt one of the worst places I have stayed. Rooms are in dire need of a refurbishment and the lack of air con makes them unbearable. There are noisy children everywhere and the pool was horrendous. Only stayed two days but the thought of two weeks spent here is nightmarish. Beds are uncomfortable. Do not stay here if you can avoid it.

Very Good Value for Money
Went to this hotel in June the weather was great, if you have upper floor pool side room you can see the sea.There is no noise from the entertainment, It looks like they have built an entertainment room. O k there was not many English but loads of French and they were very friendly. The food was OK but for what we paid for it, it was fantastic One week half board for two ¿¿270 pound that's ¿¿135 each !!!!. The hotel was very well run and clean. My husband is very fussy about cutlery and he did not moan at all. We hired a car and went to the French Spanish border which was an experience to see the devastation caused by Franco !!. If you hire a car there are some lovely places to see, Calella de Palafrugell, Cadaqu¿¿s, Empuries the Greco, Roman site which is right next to a lovely beach and only 3 euro to go in, Cap de Creus, I could go on, do what I did and buy the DK book on the Costa Brava before you go I sure you will find it useful. We found a cheap flight to Perpignan, France and drove down to Roses through the pyrenees it only took about 1hour 20 mins. All in all a Great holiday.
