was at the flora 7th till 14th may had stayed there before and enjoyed it but this time the food had improved 100 per cent with theme night dinners every night English sausage at breakfast,, I found the staff very friendly and helpful. the entertainment team were great giving lots of fun for every one throughout the day and night enjoyed every minute of it A FANTASTIC VALUE FOR MONEY HOLIDAY

Third stay at the Flora, all inclusive food has improved a great deal. Not like it was a few years ago when meal times were like a bush tucker trial! Got to say though that I won't stay in the resort again though. Very tired looking, we hired a car for our 9 day holiday and most days it was cloudy and windy in puerto del carmen but after a 25 minute car journey to playa blanca it was glorious sunshine!

I have just returned from a week away with my boyfriend. We asked for a pool view on a high floor which was no problem when we arrived. We had a one bed apartment was very spacious & clean with a great view of the pool & sea. The location was great for us. It's about 5 minutes walk down the hill to the old town & maybe 15 minutes to walk over to the main strip. A taxi costs about ¿¿¿3.50 so if you don't want to walk back up there's plenty of cheap taxis that will leave you right outside your door. The staff were friendly & helpful especially the reps & lifeguards around the pool area. There is a little shop (cheaper supermarket just a few minutes walk away) along with pool table, table tennis & a few arcade games. Every day there were activities around the pool & entertainment each evening. I would recommend this hotel for couples & young families. For us it had everything we wanted, it's close enough to all the restaurants & night life but far enough away for when we just wanted to relax.

My and my hubby went there only for may bank holiday weekend.It was really cheap-paid 90 pounds per person for 3 nights all inlusive.Hotel was ok, food very tasty and big variety of dishes. There are few things i did't like: pool wasn't heated so the water was absolutely freezing,not many people were brave enough to use it.If you wanted to watch a tv in your room,you had to pay 3 euros a day to have it unblocked + 15 euro deposit for remote controle.There is no entertainment in the hotel on sunday as animation team have a day off,Bit dissapointing if you go there only for a weekend.Some staff really grumpy.Bar only open till 11.00 p.m,which i think its to early.We stayed in a studio room nr 354.,across the road (studios are the cheapest).There is a pool,but no bar so you would have to go to the main building to get your drinks.Didn't like the room at all ,but only slept there 3 nights so didn't mind.But if i was to stay longer then i would rather pay extra and stay in one of the apartments in a main building.Lots of tchem with big balconies,overlooking the pool and sea.Hotel its too far to walk to city centre and playa grande,but its only 3 to 4 euros for a taxi.Dont bother with a shuttle transfer coz taxi to the airport cost only 15 euros and journey takes about 10 min.We had shutlle transfer booked,but used a taxi on way back becouse they wanted to pick us up at 4 a.m for a flight at 7.30 a.m!Also we had to wait for a shuttle bus for an hour when we arrived.Overall i would say hotel was good for the price we paid.Would come back but would like to stay in a better room.

My husand and I and our 3 children stayed here over Easter 2013 for 2 weeks. I was a great deal that we got considering we were all inclusive and there were 5 of us and that is why I say you get what you pay for as we paid a little of ¿¿400 per person for 2 weeks accommodationa nd food; you certainly couldn't get that in the UK.The food did become a bit boring but it was always hot and there was always something that could be found to eat. The drinks in the restaurants were in glasses however any drinks taken at the bar were served in plastic beakers which was a little off putting especially as it was only the all inclusive people that were served this way.The rooms were quite spacious, we have a 2 bedroom apartment located in THB Flora II which is through the underpass. THB Flora II is generally the quieter side but there isn't a bar or restaurant as everything is located at THB Flora I so bear this in mind. We found it quite spacious in these apartments until the day we returned back from the pool to find that the toilet had become blocked and the contents of the sewers was coming up through the bathroom floor! We were then moved to 2 x 1 bedroom apartments at no extra cost in the same block. Again these were roomy and spacious albeit a little fusty smelling and our 2 boys thought it was great having a little batchelor pad while our daughter stayed in with us. This was a great set up as they were next door to each other however only a few days after moving there was another problem with the drainage and the contents of them bubble up into the bath tubs in both rooms so we had a half full bath of sewage water et al in the bath!! Not pleasant! We were then told that 5 other rooms were having the same issues and the toilet down at the kids club in THB Flora I was closed off in that time too. Needless to say the problem was resolved but it did put a downer on the holiday somewhat.The entertainment was what you made of it with a parrot show, a reptile show, singers, guitarists and the best was the drag act and the magician who were equally good in their own right. Mar the entainment lady was fabulous and always pulling people up to have a go at one thing or another so she really did work hard.There are a lot of cats in the hotel and sometimes there is a big stench of cat wee from the flower beds so just be aware of this. Overall though they are not a problem.Finally, as I have said you get what you pay for and irespective of the above, we did have a good holiday and I think that was helped by the people that we met so a big thank you to Daws and Lynette and Elaine, Glenn and family. Your company was much appreciated and it was a pleasure to have met you all.Jo & Chris and family
