We stayed for six nights during early April 2013 on a room only basis for 330 euro¿¿¿s (around ¿¿280). It is very very quiet all over the island with many places empty but temperatures around 18 deg C ¿¿¿ pleasant sunshine and skies to gladden your heart compared with cold and wet UK. Majorca is a lovely island.The hotel is located about a 10 minute drive from the centre of Palma. It is near Porto Pi - a shopping area adjacent to the harbour housing restaurants, bars, a wide variety of shops and a large supermarket. From the hotel Porto Pi is a 7 minute walk downhill, but 13 minute walk back up the steep hill (including 115 steps). If you want a flatter, cheap and cheerful pleasant location by the sea side go to Palmanova, a few miles down the coast. Prices are much more competitive ¿¿¿ 2 pints for 2 euro¿¿¿s 50 cents!Our large room with a massive queen sized bed was clean and attractive in this very modern and smart hotel. It had a large flat screen TV but with only 2 channels speaking English and they were both for Economic news (USA) ¿¿¿ no CNN, BBC news, or any other useful English channel. The free wifi works very well as did the room safe. Our room sported a desk area, mini bar, balcony and lovely bathroom which has a shower over the bath. They only gave us one small piece of soap for all 6 days, but they did supply free toothbrushes.The room was kept clean, and with the good thick curtains blacking out most of the light we got very good nights sleep. You can hear the traffic from the road.We did not have breakfast which we were told was 9 euro¿¿¿s 50 each if you paid at reception ¿¿¿ apparently 3 euro¿¿¿s more if you paid at the restaurant. There was lunch available but no bar for a drink. There is a nice swimming pool and outside garden area.The staff are very friendly, cheerful, pleasant and helpful.If staying there we would strongly advise you to have a car ¿¿¿ there is parking easily available near the hotel and a No.46 bus service into town (1 euro 50 cents) ¿¿¿ hit and miss as far as trying to figure out when it leaves and returns.Overall we liked Majorca very much. If you have your own transport and don¿¿¿t mind walking down steep hills this is a lovely modern hotel with great rooms at a decent price.

nice and comfortable room, with enough space to get some work done. Very friendly and helpful staff at the reception desk, and a good area of town, away from the busiest places but with a good bus connection into town. I can recommend a good run along the waterfront towards downtown and back, quite an experience.The only disappointment was breakfast, I have had better and much better on numerous occasions.

I stayed here for 4 nights, and I must stay I am very glad I chose this hotel. It is located 5 minutes walk from Porto PI shopping centre and with good bus links to central Palma. The waterfront is hardly 7-8 mins walk away. The rooms ar quite spacious however if management is looking for feedback there is a build up of dust under the bed, furniture, etc. Quite poor considering you are part of the NH brand, and have only 60 odd rooms to maintain. The bathrooms also need care and attention as there are signs of mould... The beds are also not the best... Housekeeping standards need attention, period. However that doesnt make or break my holiday. The team is fantastic... right from the management to the friendly and polite breakfast team. However the superstars are at reception, namely Lorena and Rebecca. Lorena at receptionist is brilliant! Make sure you hold on to her as her exceptional customer service skills will bring people back. I noticed that she always provides all customers a warm welcome, genuine care and attention, smile (the works)... Thats what starts your holiday!

We had a great time staying at the Hesperia.The staff were helpful & friendly. Our room was much bigger than expected, and was really nice & clean. The only unfortunate thing was that our balcony/veranda was right next to the steps so if you were outside everyone walked within a meter of you... The location could definitely be better, but your can't ask for much more for the price. It was only a short walk down the hill to some lovely restaurants/cocktail bars, but to get to the beach was a +-10 minute bus ride.

We (young couple) stayed there for two days in September 2012 at this hotel which is part of NH group.Very nice and friendly staff. We checked-in around 11am. Unfortunately there was only smoking rooms available even if we requested non-smoking room. We got several rooms to check which one suit us best.Breakfast was quite OK however it was not enough selction of vegtables.Hotel has thier own parking lots for around 10 cars.
