Basic budget hotel, best feature is the swimming pool which is closed
I only paid ¿¿30 per night for a double room inc breakfast, glad I hadn't paid any more.Rooms are very dated, but clean. My balcony door didn't shut properly and the electrical panel hummed so the room was fairly noisy.Staff were varying in their helpfulness and ability to speak EnglishBiggest issue is that they are doing maintenance on the 8th floor and have shut the swimming pool. This was not on any website when I booked and not on the hotel's website. Even in the hotel signs posted regarding the work did not mention the pool, it was only when I asked for a towel that they reluctantly admitted it. I could not get an anticipated opening date from the Manager.TV only in Spanish. Breakfast very basic and no options for gluten/dairy intolerants like myself.Without the pool this is a very dated hotel with minimal facilities, in a good location. I would not recommend booking it until the pool has reopened

Fantastic Hotel hidden in the mountains of the Costa del Sol. I wouldnt say that it was five star but they dont pretend to be either. Excellent location and with easy access to the town center. The rooms are clean and tidy with most mod cons that you would expect. Dont worry too much about the price as they are very reasonable. I would suggest booking via the website to secure seasonal deals. Great food and fantastic service. I thoroughly recommend this hotel

Basic but clean and comfortable Budget Hotel
Myself and brother-in-law stayed for 2 nights on 12th and 13th October 2012. The hotel was basic but clean and comfortable. 2 large rooms with beds, linen and storage space. A safe was also available and a TV in each room. Air con was also available and in working order. Each room had its own private balcony. A kitchen with pots and cutlery and a shower with plenty of hot water. Reception staff were excellent. There is a Supermarket right outside the front door and caters for everything. A few hundred yards away is a golden beach with plenty of restaurants and places to eat. All in all, this is a good place to stay if you are on a guys or girls weekend away. Not so sure if I would recommend this for a family stay or for a 2 week holiday. It is what you make it and you certainly get what you pay for. If you are looking for cheap and cheerful accommodation for a short stay, there are worse places than this to stay. I can't believe how many negative reviews there are about this hotel. I will be back at Marbella Inn if I travel to the Costa Del Sol in the future.

I would not advise anyone to stay here!!
I have just returned from a weeks stay at the Marbella Inn hotel with 4 other girl friends and would honestly not advise anyone to stay here, even if you are after a basic hotel. We were shocked with what we saw when we arrived but decided to try and make the most out of a bad situation. The rooms were dark and dirty and the only thing that saved the hotel from being unbearable was the rooftop pool, which is small but relaxing. The air-con stopped working 2 days in and the breakfast was awful. We got a choice of stale bread or stale croissants!! After reading reviews before we went, we made sure all our valuables were locked in our suitcases, however left toiletries out in the cupboard. I got back to find my Chanel perfume worth the best part of ¿¿100 had been stolen. We went to tell the reception staff and they were very dismissive saying its wasn't their problem. From then we said we didn't want our room cleaned but when we asked for clean towels from reception, they sighed and made out we were being an inconvenience. Since we have gone back we have found there are hotels which are much better value for money, so when we go back (which we definitely will because the actual place is beautiful) we will definitely look elsewhere! I don't know how this hotel even got a 3* status!

Great budget hotel!
Having read some of the more negative reviews, we were slightly concerned about leaving things in our room. We took the advice to ask for our room not to be cleaned - the cleaners still left a bag of clean towels and fresh toilet rolls outside the door every day. The staff were all lovely and friendly. The breakfast is basic i.e. bread, croissants, tea/coffee but is enough to start off the day and food was good. Rooftop pool has a lovely view of Marbella and the hotel is very close to everything and about a 10 min walk from the beach. For a budget this hotel is great value for money and I would recommend it - the rooms are big and have air con and fridges. No complaints whatsoever. 5-10 min walk from the hotel down to the beach front, where there is of course the beach but also lots of restaurants, stalls selling souvenirs, ice cream stands and pubs/bars - otherwise 10 minutes in a cab to Puerto Banus for approx. 10 euros.
