Good location
Located near the beach, and in walking distance from the old town. Perfect for our needs. Can't speak for the food, we ate breakfast in the cafe in the same builing, who has reasonably priced food, and excellent orange juice. There are som good resutrants near by as El Refrectorium, and as mentioned, the old town where resutrants are abundant is just a walk away. We were on the 11th floor, and were not bothered with noise, allthough our room was facing the intersection.The top floor has a jacuzzi with excellent view. The rooms are ok sized. The bathrooms were impecably cleaned. Some signs of wear and thear overall at the hotel, but as clean. I recommend Maestranza.

Great location, staff really friendly, lovely room
Location couldn't be better, a few minutes walk to the centre, a few minutes to the harbour or a few to the beach.We were upgraded to a junior suite on arrival which was nice, room was very clean and modern.Breakfast was ok, nothing special, but quite ok.Only downside was we had a rental car and there is no parking, so hotel suggested car park close by, the tariffs were almost impossible to work out, and we were shocked that it worked out as approx 25E per night.Malaga was a beautiful city that seems to be looked after, amazing gardens and architecture, and new harbour front restaurants are great.Will go back

The hotel was nice and clean and the service was very friendly. Moreover, it has a great location. The only negative side was the noice coming from the street below, which is understandable because of the location.

Weekend break
Just enjoyed a lovely sunny weekend in Malaga, a city that has a lot more to offer than you would expect. The hotel is set in a good location within a few minutes walk of the beach, the new shopping and restaurants at the marina, the old town and the Alcazar, an old Moorish castle.

Malaga is not a typical place to say on this coast but this hotel great place to stay if you want a city/beach experience
There are some givens in life. One of them is not to judge a hotel when you arrive late at night. I was not that impressed even though my wife and I had reviewed TA comments. Well I am always happy to be proven wrong when the experience is positive and this the case with this hotel and it's wonderful location. We stayed in room 506 and we have a partial view of the Med and docks but much more impressively we directly face Gibralfaro Castle and it is amazing. Most of the rooms seem to have balconies and even though it is a relatively busy road the palm trees obscure part of the road and it is lovely to sit out in. This part of Malaga is near the Old Town and is a predominantly residential area. Great bakery next door and a supermarket opposite.Rooms very clean but slightly dated not that is an issue for us. We did not come away to watch a flat screen TV!Service very good and has been noted by other reviewers nice touch to get a welcome glass of Cava from the bar.You are 3 minutes away from the beach and whilst it is not as well maintained as many of the beaches along this coast line it was fine for us.Malaga is an interesting city to explore as well. If you want something different and a transport system that can take you to Seville and Cordoba in 3-4 hours visit Malaga.
