Bad bad bad!!
I have had multiple stays at Madrid over the past few years, and this by far was the worst! i flew into Madrid from Germany, late night. the only reason my colleague suggested this hotel was its close proximity to the airport and convenience for our meeting. And in that respect, this was spot on. But my short experience here was anything but pleasant! - i checked in at about 11pm, after some 2 different flights and over 5 hr on the road. Imagine my shock when the hotel tells me there is no room service or restaurant open. I just dont get the logic of a hotel which charges over 140euro a night and does not have even room service at night! also, this hotel is not close to any restaurant, so my only option was an apple and an orange, which the reception staff was generous to get me!- Second shocker, i mistakenly tried puling the cupboard door (instead of sliding) and imagine my shock when the entire door came in my hand!! yes sir the entire door!! Tried calling house keeping, but just could not find their number. Finally pushed the door back myself and fitted it back! I told reception on checking out - their response "thank you for letting us know"Not even an apology to me having to bear the brunt of a falling door, and i paid 140Euro for such a room!the hotel staff was good to give me a slightly late checkout (1pm) but thats about it. At this room rate, I definite dont plan to stay here again. Definite NO if my flight arrives this late. It is conveniently close to the airport, but then without dinner is a complete deal breaker!

Value for money
Comfortable large rooms with fresh appearance. Eventhough the hotel does not make use of expensive materials, it has a modern and stylish look. Fitness room ok as well, although some towels in the room would have been appreciated. The breakfast is good with Nespresso coffee facilities and a good choice. Again it is not the most luxerous breakfast, but definitely of a good standard. Fast efficient service, so overall for the 90 euros I paid ( corporate rate) nothing to complain about. Location is good for business, not so much for tourism, I would imagine

Good value for what you pay!
We chose this hotel because we had only one night in Madrid, so we chose this hotel, mainly for the price. Nevertheless, the hotel is far from the city center, so we ended up paying more for less. Staff was friendly, the hotel clean, but you feel like taking the budget airlines, you get what you pay for.

Very close to Indonesia Embassy in Madrid
I stayed one night at Hotel Confortel Atrirum Hotel because its very close to Indonesia Embassy, less than 1 minute walk. As I need to renew my passport , this hotel is perfect location, close to Airport too, only about 30 minutes from Airport with Airport Bus No. 200.It was nice stay, nothing memorable tough.

Low quality finnish
At first the hotel seems nice, the staff was friendly and check in was quick. The hotel seems to be very cheaply build, at first, the aircon did not work. During our stay the weather was mildly warm so the aircon not working was not a major problem for us. However, in the hot season of summer, i would be worried if the aircon did not work.The shower was also build at a low-cost, during the stay, the entire shower bracket fell off, resulting in not being able to shower. I really believe this hotel would be a lot higher rated if the quality was up to par.The hotel beverages and food is also very expensive. Probably close to 3x more than you would pay at the restaurant/ pub down the street (100m). If you are planning your stay here, i would recommend you do not get the "full board" with meals included, firstly, it will be much cheaper on a bed only basis, secondly Madrid is an amazing place and you are very rarely at the hotel to have dinner/ breakfast anyway. If you are looking for the more traditional trip to Madrid, try finding a hotel close to the center (near puerto de sol)
