Very good value
I booked two nights here on an Olotel deal for ¿¿50 per night including breakfast.The hotel was pretty clean. I had a room on the 6th floor and it was very quiet. Nice layout. Not the biggest rooms perhaps but as a single traveler it was fine. The location was great for me as I was visiting Las Ventas on both nights of my stay. It is in a nice suburb with lots of tapas bars nearby (all full of locals, not tourist places and therefore very cheap but good) and it all felt very safe at night. The location is not particularly central though.Breakfast was a massive buffet and really good with a few hot items and plenty of choice. Friendly staff, all fine. The swimming pool is under repair so was closed.

Many fine qualities make this hotel a good choice
I recently spent two nights here as part of a student travel group. As other reviewers have noted, the hotel is in a very quiet residential location about a five minute walk from the Ventas subway station. The staff were very helpful and considerate. The quality of the breakfast provided was one of the best I have had, including many local specialties. We had lunch at the hotel one day and the food was excellent. The service was polite if a bit slow.My room was a good size and the bathroom huge. Unlike other hotels I stayed at on this trip, NH got the length of the piece of glass in their shower stalls right, as it was long enough to stop water from going everywhere. The quality of the toiletries provided was excellent, and everything was replenished the next day. Guests were even provided with toothbrush kits and sponges. A few small complaints about the hotel: - the decor in the rooms is a bit tired;- the lack of a ceiling fan in the bathroom has made the ceiling paint discolour and blister;- the passenger drop off area is separated from the lobby by a flight of stairs making it difficult to manoeuvre bags in and out of the hotel;- the keycard system needed to operate the elevators was rather confusing;- the stairs cannot be used without setting off an alarm regardless of the floor from which you're trying to gain access to them.However, I hope that none of what I have written above will discourage you from booking at this hotel. I highly recommend it.

Great hotel for visiting Madrid
This hotel is a little more old fashioned than the newer NH hotels, but it is comfortable, clean , spacious and quiet. The beds are great and the bathrooms are large and have a full range of toiletries AND a proper hair dryer! The breakfast is a huge buffet with everything you could want from toast to cheeses , hams and cold meats to chocolate pudding and doughnuts. The wifi is free but can be a little problematic. The hotel staff are very efficient and friendly and answered all my questions with good grace. The hotel is in a quiet , upmarket residential area with shops and cafes nearby. However, the food in the hotel restaurant was surprisingly good. The nearest Metro station , Ventas, is a 5 minute walk away and has a direct line (2) to Sol which is the gateway to downtown Madrid. The convenience of the metro means that it is possible to get to and from downtown in 30 minutes which is nice when the hustle and bustle of Madrid becomes too much, and a quiet drink in the hotel seems more appealing. A great spot to use as a base in Madrid.

Great hotel
Surprised by the hotel. Great service and lovely swimming pool. The rooms are brilliant and the hotel is clean and comfortable. The parking is a bit expensive but the staff was really nice. We had a great stay.

A nice hotel
I just returned from the Easter weekend and stayed here booked by Voyage Prive. The hotel is a modernish standard 4 star. The rooms are comfortable and very quiet as it is in a residential neighbourhood. The staff are friendly and helpful - we requested more pillows and they were sent up straight away. The breakfast is huge and lovely with lots of choice - done as a buffet. Locationwise it is 5 minutes walk from Ventas metro station so perfect for all the sights yet far enough away for a peaceful night's sleep. The downside is the wifi is dreadful - keeps dropping and cutting out. Alos the bar area is a little soul less. However it was a comfortable stay.
