hi, just returned from the royal star, 3rd time i've stayed in h-top hotels, 1st the royal beach, dead busy at the bar, but mostly english, then the alexis, smaller & again mostly english, the royal star is probs the best, lots of spanish & french,only paid 110 each for 7 nites AI, rooms spotless, maids friendly, food wise, avoid breakfast & go later for a snack, it was too busy, lunch & dinner...always something to choose from, plus some of the dishes were lovely, jaccuzzi downstairs, staff give what they get, be polite & ur sorted, they work hard & were allways happy, ps , if everyone left a quid tip, it wud be better alround, having worked 17 yrs in hotels, this is mentionable, town nice, weather warm, to too hot at beginning of may, for the price, well happy, cant beleive all negative reveiws on here, if u want 5 star, then pay for it, if u want a cheap AI hol, then go, i would reccomend to anyone, ur holiday is what u make of it, met loads of nice europeans, thank you royal star

Great value for money
Just back from here after a week AI, didn't expect much for the ¿¿144 each. It exceeded our expectations. Location was ideal a short walk to the beach, (once you find the quick way) five minute walk into town with plenty of bars, fast food, bowling and stuff for the kids to do. Near to bus station where you can catch a bus to Tossa, Blane's, Barcelona other places but have forgot the names. Nice walks around the coast from lloret to Fenels beaches.Spotless rooms with a maid in daily, nice powerful shower2 outdoor pools, 1 indoor but you can't have a swim in it because it's only 1 meter deep but okay for a slash around, jacuzzi , sauna, gym. You can borrow bikes free, just leave a depositFree use of washing machine and dryer you don't even need soap powder it's pumped in automatically.Food was good with lots of choice plenty of salads, fish, pork, chicken, turkey, rabbit.Breakfast had a choice of full English, cheese and ham , cereals, pastries all meal times had a good choice of fresh fruit.Nighttime entertainment was boring, lots of ballroom dancing in one room or load music in another where most of the youngsters went. Somebody else mentioned the cards being held until you take back your glasses, which i think was a good idea there wasnt glasses all overthe place. You could ask for glass rather than plastic if you were staying indoors. A very large group of German student booked in at the same time we arrived, they were a bit load at times but it didn't bother us.Would definitely recommend.

Great for a week away! ;)
The entertainment staff were fab especially pabelo, Anais and Kim! Very friendly and involved everyone! But all activities were indoors! The hotel was nice! Rooms were basic but comfortable! Great for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Hotels in a great location!

Top value for moneyf
We paid very little money for a 3 night all inclusive break. The hotel was basic and in parts dated but spotlessly clean with a great daily maid service. The food was just so so but with plenty of choice; we always found something okay to eat. I must say that the salads and fresh fruit were pretty good. This is definitely a lively hotel and not suitable for anyone wanting a quiet break. All that said, we would

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, the rooms were ok and that's the only positive I can give.Food was mediocre at best, and as for the all inclusive drinks well, firstly you are given a card which you hand to the barman who in turn gives you a plastic cup that holds maybe two mouthfuls of beer or cheap coke or whatever, oh and you queue for this because the bar is full of 18 year old mainly Germans all wanting to drink all day and create havoc around the pool, then you have to hand your cup back once you've finished and retrieve your card. These same kids cause havoc outside rooms and around the pool areas in the early hours as well, nightmare.If your young then this hotel would be ideal because you can act your age and be allowed to do so, which is fine, I have no problem with that, I feel that I gatecrashed their party because I booked an allocation on arrival deal, the first time I have ever done this and the last, so I should not have been staying there but having said that the holiday company should not have allocated four 50 plus year olds in this hotel knowing full well that the clientele were of a certain age.In summary this is a great hotel for youngsters but if your looking for a relaxing break look elsewhere.
