Rigo is an asset to this hotel
We were booked into this hotel for 1 night on a room only basis by our local travel agent "Thomas Cook". We were on route from London to embark on a cruise the following day. The hotel shuttle bus was at the airport when we arrived. We were most impressed by this hotel and our room. The following morning at 10.30 we were to be picked up by another company and taken to the Port. We were in the foyer and checked out just after 10am. We waited until 11am before going to reception to ask for help in contacting the company concerned. Rigo was just about to take luggage to another guest's room. He straight away said I will help you when I come back down. I then gave him the detail we had and he tried to find a phone number through his computer for this company. They were not listed under the name we had. I had an emergency No. in the U.K from the tour company but he could not dial out and suggested I got a phone card. He then phoned and explained our problem. He then got a call back and I spoke to the lady in the U.K who said she had contacted the local agent and it was booked for 2.30 pm. there mistake. Rigo then contacted a driver from a company the hotel uses, he came straight away and charged us less than a taxi would have cost. As an employee he is a real asset to the hotel and we would defiantly stay there again and recommend it.

Good Service
I arrived at the hotel after a very long international flight and to say that I was exhausted is an understatement. I caught a fast, complimentary shuttle from the airport and was at the hotel in only a few minutes. It was about 10:30 P.M. on a Friday night and there were a few people in front of me. While it felt like I stood in line for about an hour, I know it was only due to my exhaustion and that in reality, I was in the lobby for about 5-10 minutes. Check-in was painless and simple - since my room was paid for by the airline (because the very long international flight was also a few hours late arriving), it was a very fast process and I was upstairs in my room in no time.The room itself was very nice. Having spent nearly a year in China, it made the luxury of this hotel even nicer, and it was definitely luxurious. It was a non-smoking room and there wasn't even the hint of a cigarette having been smoked in it (non-smoking doesn't always mean that it smells like it). The bathroom was spotless with big fluffy towels, though the bathtub/shower was quite on average side.The bed ... was so soft and comfortable! I could have slept for an entire day, it was so soft and comfortable. The room was large and well-designed.The main complaint I have is that room service stopped serving the regular menu by 10:30 P.M. Room service is available 24/7, but it is quite limited. For an airport hotel that doesn't have much in the way of nearby restaurants, I'd think they could do a better job with their 24/7 room service.

Excellent staff!
My stay at the Crowne Plaza LAX was wonderful. The Management and staff were friendly, courteous and efficient. MGR Mousa was most helpful in every way as was Devon, Mario and all the nice ladies at the desk. I would stay here anytime. The Jazz Club featuring world class artists located off the lobby is a huge bonus! The sushi bar was very good too. I highly recommend this hotel!

Nice room, sub average service
First and foremost, the rooms here are nice - no complaints there at all. Obviously, the location is great too.Service is less than average. Check-in was very, very slow. When we got there, there were two people checking in - we were then first in line. Why did we have to wait 20 minutes (with not even an acknowledgment from the staff?) - I have no idea. I also appreciate room service... but, for a transit airport, to have house cleaning knocking on the door at 7am is a bit steep.The restaurant was pretty good. Food was not brilliant, but good enough.... the service there was excellent though. Id stay here again... but, would also look around for other options.
