Awful, unacceptable and unforgettable experience
I met a business colleague for lunch and were told we could not use the restaurant due to a conference. We sat in the bar area for our meal and noticed that the restaurant was not used at all during the two hour period we remained at the hotel. Whilst my colleague's meal was "satisfactory", my meal did not arrive until I asked where it was. The waitress explained that the first steak and kidney pudding had been a disaster and that another one was being prepared. Eventually, after my colleague had finished his meal, my meal arrived served with congealed gravy, a distinct absence of green beans and a crispy steak and kidney pudding (they are supposed to be soft!). The beans arrived 10 minutes later. Unfortunately, this was not a scene from Faulty Towers! Get your act together, Warwick Hilton, this was an awful, unacceptable and unforgettable experience!

Terrible
Where do I start.........no help with bags.......meals very average......in the room, the phone didnt work, the basin in the bathroom didnt drain, the shower knob fell off, the showers were either scolding or freezing temp control didnt work...we chose to have our breakfast in our room as it was mothers day in Australia..the breakfast was almost inedible....cold greasy horrible....we were charged 10 pounds extra for that privilege...avoid at all costs....much better options in the area

We love it here
This is the second time we have taken our family for a two night stay at this hotel. 11 adults and 8 children can't all be wrong - we love it here. It is the only hotel I have found that can easily (if not cheaply) accomodate 2 parents & 3 children together. The room standard was excellent although I thought the hotel extremely tight fisted not to replenish the chocolate & water in the room for the 2nd night's stay. This is the kind of parsimony that really rankles, if I'd booked 2 separate nights I'd have had 2 lots of chocolate; why only 1 lot when I book 2 nights together? The bed linen and towels were changed for the second night even though there was a card saying that they wouldn't be if we left the towels hanging up to dry. Give me more chocolate - I can sleep on the same sheets for 2 nights! The bar drinks are eye-wateringly expensive, especially cartons of soft drinks for children; we bought a pack of 5 in a small local shop for less than they were charging for 1. The buffet breakfast is extremely good, although there was general disappointment amongst the children that the waffle maker was no longer in service. We ate in the restaurant on our second night and I was horrified to find that they were serving a carvery. The last time we ate here there was a full menu to choose from and apparently this is still the case on most nights but no-one had bothered to inform me that they had decided to have a carvery on that particular night. As we had eaten a carvery at a neighbouring pub the previous night we weren't really interested in eating another one, but where else could I take 19 people at 7pm? I complained bitterly about this unexpected menu change and some of the adults ate off the bar menu while the restaurant manager reduced our bill as compensation for our disappointment. As this was a celebration meal for my husband's 65th birthday it did not go as planned as 8 children were difficult to keep in place with the constant to-ing & fro-ing from the buffet to fetch starters, main courses, desserts and top-ups. I'm not sure how many were actually present when the kitchen eventually produced his cake! If children choose to eat off the Child's Menu they eat free but most of ours couldn't resist the buffet. The hotel is extremely tolerant of children and not many adults got a look-in on the computers as there were a large number of children besides our own staying that weekend. The pool was very popular but the number of children probably put many adults off using it. As for the hotel's location - there is so much to do in the area that there must be something for everyone. We prepaid this time & I can recommend it - cheaper, car parking & breakfast included.

Disgraceful Treatment
For the name and price you expect better! My best friend had her wedding party stay here and guests were scolded in the shower when the cold water stopped running when trying to get ready for the wedding. I was caught in the middle of washing my hair, so had to change rooms with shampoo in my hair, but only after about an hour delay. Mother of the bride slipped and banged her head and no compensation was offered. Bride could not prepare with her family as she wished due to the delays. When we started to complain they would deny anything was their fault and refuse to be helpful.Rooms were average, spa was average, breakfast was average (do it yourself style buffet). Many of the reception staff don't speak very good English and were hard to understand.

Usual high Hilton Standard
Stayed here in Jan when taking neice from Canada to Warwick Castle. Other family members stayed also. Have stayed here many times and has never failed. We booked a delightful twin deluxe room with robes, slippers, generous hospitality basket, water etc. My son, partner and child had just as nice a room with same facilities. We had complimentary breakfast (husband is hhonors gold member) which was usual high Hilton standard. Thank you for lovely stay and we will definitely return.
