Great last minute option!
Decided to stay in Sheffield last weekend in the spur of the moment after a nice afternoon with some friends. I am fairly local to Sheffield but decided to stay in the City Centre so we could make a night of it.On arrival check-in was quick and friendly, staff helped recommend places to go in town and booked our taxi for us. The room was perfect, spacious and clean...more importantly it lead to a great nights sleep! We opted for a special breakfast deal on check-in so it was ¿¿8 instead of ¿¿13 and this was fantastic. While both myself and my partner were feeling fragile the buffet option were lovely and the staff didn't make us feel rushed at all, despite us arriving late morning.It was a great night out in Sheffield followed by a very comfortable stay, I'll definitely be back.

GE Sheffield Trip
A very nice hotel. Standard of room, service and cleanliness was very good. The only problem I experienced was that the internet connection did not work. Personally I prefer the more traditional sink design but this is only a minor point. Generally a very pleasant experience.

Visiting Sheffield Hallam University a bit ¿¿¿Ryanair¿¿¿
Convenient location for SHU and Sheffield station I have stayed here on 5 or 6 previous business trips to SHU. The reception is always pleasant, well-presented and friendly. Invariably they are young French people (on management programmes in French chain?) whose skilful efficiency makes check-in streamlined and straightforward. Breakfast and dinner are good and again the waiting staff are pleasant without being overbearing. Rooms are clean and comfortable although the carpets are becoming a bit tired. Bathing facilities are good although the leak on my shower had evidently been happening for some time as evidenced by the flaking paint on the ceiling of the shower booth. Nespresso coffee was appreciated in this executive room that included internet connection for a PC but, disappointingly no free Wi-Fi for my iPad ¿¿¿ could be purchased through orange. I think you can do a bit better in this respect Accor since this did appear to be a bit ¿¿¿Ryanair¿¿¿.

Never actually stayed in hotel just came to set up and run an event
I felt like everything I asked for was an effort, staff rude unhelpful Hotel was clean and tidy, but I don't think I would have been happy staying there, car park was underneath bit on tight side so be careful. No recommendations from me sorry

Good Family Hotel
Pros:- Great pool - Nice breakfast- Toys/video games for small kids in the lobby- Central location- Free internet in the lobbyCons:- Small room- Small sofa bed; okay for 2 small children, but not grown-ups- Parking about ¿¿10/nightIn general a good option if you are staying in the area. It would have been better to have the 'family room' be a little bigger, but good beyond that.
