sound city location and health club
The hilton is very central but can be a bit awkward to get to if your parking in thier very small car park. They have an agreement with the car park across the road for preferential rates though. Overall the small rooms are very poky. the do larger ones as well that are a little more expensive.Breakfast, I always find these expensive in hotels and feel that you have to eat more than just cereals to get some moneys worth. They have fruit and yoghurt but not extensive. The staff are nice and friendly though. I will be staying here again just will get breakfast elsewhere.

Served its purpose...
After a recent bad experience at another Hilton hotel & not wanting to stay at a Hilton again we came here as part of a friends birthday celebration. We used our Hilton Honours points towards the room so only ended up paying approximately ¿¿30 for a double room, thank goodness! Would not have been pleased paying full price for what we received. Our room was tiny with the smallest double bed I have ever seen. We were told we were on the refurbished floor, I would hate to have been on a non refurbished one! The room was reasonably clean but the decor was tired, with peeling wallpaper. The window sill was rotten with some kind of infestation of some sort of mite. We had no fridge and there is no air conditioning but there was a small fan in the wardrobe. The bathroom was ok, fairly clean at least. The bar area is quite nice & breakfast is served here which had a nice selection. The lifts were slow, had to wait forever & can't really fit more than 4 people in them. Location is excellent being right in the centre of town & there is a multi storey car park opposite so that's really convenient & you get a slightly reduced rate if you are a Hilton guest. One final comment is that you can hear everything that's going on in the rooms next to you or above you!

The double bed was a bit small but adequate for one night. The breakfast was really nice and we enjoyed a drink or two in Nicholson's last nightThe best bit was the staff who were all really friendly and helpful and of course the location.

Lovely hotel.
As I'm from Nottingham I've stayed in this hotel a few times with my boyfriend when we fancy a 'date night' where we go for food/cinema etc. The location is fantastic. You're directly in the centre so if you decide to go out for a shopping day or a night out it's easy to get back to.Although the rooms are a little small they're not the smallest standard rooms I've seen in the area (ahem crowne plaza) but they are lovely. We've been upgraded kindly by the staff to the executive room a couple of times and it was fantastic. The bed is so huge! Yes the view from the windows isn't very pretty but the comfort of the room and bed make up for it. The Nicholsons bar joined onto the hotel is lovely for food, especially lunch! But Nottingham has a lot of fantastic restaurants very close by to the Hilton.The swimming pool isn't huge but it's a decent size and really nice to relax in after a busy shopping day! I love going in the sauna too.Overall I will definitely visit the Hilton again & again. It's a lovely hotel & I've had a lot of really nice nights there!

Ideal Location
Stayed her in April 2013.First issue was trying to get to the Hotel in a car, you could see it, but getting to it was a different matter. Eventually after I think 3 attempts on the one way system, we made it. A tiny car park at the front of the hotel has to be booked in advance, otherwise a multi-storey car park is across the road. Hotel is pleasant and staff are all friendly. Food in the dining room is very good and they have good wines in stock, breakfast is served to you at your table.Rooms are adequate with all main amenities you would need and everything works. Beds are comfortable for a good nights sleep.Ideally placed for looking around Nottingham.
