I have to stay regularly in the Salford area and looked for cheap accommodation in the area for me and my daughter who is 6. We chose the Campanile as it was en route to our final destination. The hotel has a restaurant and bar which is in a seperate building to the rooms. The restaurant served a good choice of food and the first week we stayed the food was good, unfortunately the second week wasn't and the food was overcooked and its appearance made this obvious and it shouldn't have been served.The waitress was happy in her work and pleasant each time we stayed and nothing was too much trouble. The reception staff were also helpful and friendly.The rooms:First week we were on the third floor which wasn't too bad at the time however the following week we had to request a ground floor room due to my daughter needing use of her wheelchair, there are no lifts so you really need to advise the hotel if mobility is a problem. The rooms were very nice butbasic and newly painted. The rooms we stayed in were clean and there were coffee and tea making facilities. We didn't have the breakfast which was offered at an extra charge as I didn't feel it was value for money from what it said on the menue as it was quite pricey. m

We stayed here for one night whilst in town to watch a concert.for the money we paid it was very goo value -- free car parking -- rooms basic but clean -- very good breakfast and only a ten minute walk into the city centre -- we would definitely return.

You carnt really ask for more for what you pay. Room are basic hence the price but very clean.Alot of shops around you like sainsburys,home bargins,argos,sports direct and such. Also there is a casino across the road with a kfc and mcdonalds. Staff were always friendly and helpfull. Not a great distance from the centre 5 quid taxi or 15 min walk. On a whole was a good place to stay!!

Paid ¿¿41 for a friday nights stay. The place is near c manchester a ¿¿5 taxi to the centre. The staff i met were very friendly. It covers all the basics: clean, tidy and a great shower. So overall ok for the price compared to other c manchester hotels.

If you want somewhere cheap and cheerful to put your head down for a night or two while visiting Manchester then you could do a lot worse than the Campanile. Staff very helpful, ¿¿5 cab journey into the City and a 15 minute walk to Old Trafford. It's not luxurious by any stretch and some of the furniture in our small room badly needed updating however its about a third of the price you will pay two minutes up the road. Would stay here again if visiting Manchester under the same circumstances.
